Kopernik
distributes simple life-changing technologies to the last mile through
its local partners. In partnership with Differ and Prime Cookstoves,
Kopernik is implementing the Low Emission Enterprises (LEE) project in
the districts of Tapanuli Selatan (Tapsel), Mandailing Natal (Madina)
and Padang Sidempuan, North Sumatra. The project aims to make Prime
Cookstoves (also known as the UB.03-1 biomass stove) widely available to
low-income families in the three sub-districts, with the goal of
selling 22,000 cookstoves in North Sumatra by the end of 2015. To do
this, Kopernik is recruiting Tech Agents to sell the cookstoves and
building partnerships with cooperatives, women’s groups, farming groups
and other community groups. The LEE project provides technical training
on how to use and maintain the cookstoves, business training on how to
manage a micro-enterprise, marketing training and materials, and
logistic support.
Prime Cookstoves use up to 80 percent less wood than a three-stone fire and produces almost no smoke. By reducing the amount of firewood used for cooking, we will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by a projected 40,000tons per year, delivering a myriad of environmental benefits.

To support the implementation of the LEE project, Kopernik is currently recruiting a sales coordinator.
The overall objectives of the position are:
i) to achieve the sales target of the project
ii) to establish sales and marketing strategies
iii) data entry and creation of customer databases.
The Sales Coordinator will report to the Head of Operations in Padang Sidempuan.
The position will be of a dynamic character and require flexibility and determination from the successful candidate. As the operations in Padang Sidempuan are currently being established, the sales coordinator will have the opportunity to have significant influence on the business model and processes.
Start date: 1 June 2014

Syarat:
- Relevant university degree (Business management, marketing, business administration, sales strategy)
- Work experience in sales and marketing in Indonesia (experience from sales to ‘bottom of the pyramid customers’ will be valued highly)
- Implementation and coordination skills

- Self-motivated and goal-oriented
- Ability to work in an international and interdisciplinary environment
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Fluency in Bahasa and English
Tanggung Jawab:
- Developing the sales and marketing strategy for Prime cookstoves in Tapanuli Selatan, Mandailing Natal and Padang Sidempuan.
- Identifying and signing up groups (cooperative groups, women groups, farmer groups, formal and informal groups) to be Tech Agents or Local Partners for Prime Cookstoves
- Recruiting individuals to be Tech Agents to sell Prime Cookstoves
- Coordinate Tech Agents and Local Partners and maintain sales activities for LEE project areas
- Developing and delivering sales and marketing training to Tech Agents and Local Partners
- Leading sales and marketing activities to achieve sales target
- Recording and maintaining sales records
- Providing necessary support to partners and customers
- Compiling and organising all necessary customer information from Tech Agents and Local Partners
