Indonesia funded Data Collection for the Baseline Survey of the
Community-Based Health and Nutrition to Reduce Stunting Project in
Jakarta, Indonesia.

Project Description
The project will implement a baseline survey for an impact evaluation of the Community-Based Health and Nutrition to Reduce Stunting Project. It will cover 4,560 households, along with puskesmas (health center) and desa (village)-level surveys across Central Kalimantan, West Kalimantan and South Sumatra. The project will collect data that will be analyzed by the Evaluation Team of the Community-Based Health and Nutrition to Reduce Stunting Project to make statements about the Nutrition Project’s impact.
Role & Responsibilities
The Data Manager will play the role of a senior data programmer and be required to develop the data entry program in Bahasa Indonesia used during the survey. The Data Manager will spend at least 30% of his/her time in the survey locations when field work is underway. The Data Manager will report to the Technical Team Leader.

Specific Responsibilities
- Design a data entry program for entering survey data that prevents entry errors
- Design and lead training for data entry and data cleaning staff
- Manage the data receipt process
- Manage data cleaning process (check for inconsistencies within and across modules, check for variable range label and code variables, format datasets in the shape (long/wide) requested by MCA-INDONESIA
- Make periodic reports to MCA-INDONESIA about data quality (e.g., error rates, missing data, etc)
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team, to achieve specific and measurable results
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or engineering or a related field, such as Economics, Sociology, Demography, Statistics, or Math
- At least five years of experience managing the data entry and/or cleaning for household surveys of similar size (at least 2000+ households)
- At least two years of experience in programming for a household survey •Experience working with MCC highly desirable
- Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia required
- Good knowledge of English highly desirable
