1. Climate
Change Adaptation Specialist – API PERUBAHAN Phase II
The Climate Change
Adaptation Specialist will report to Project Manager.
She/he will work closely with national stakeholders to mainstream DRR-CCA and
maintaining engagement. Ensuring success in establishing climate alliance that
works to coordinate, leverage, and advocate DRR-CCA in the national. Contribute
to the Platform Nasional (Planas) and other relevant forums. She/he will assist
the liaison and network of existing DRR and CCA programs with local and
national stakeholders, such: Desa
Tangguh, Kampung Iklim, Pengembangan Desa Pesisir Tangguh, etc. She/he also
will Identify and mapping key partners to scale up resilience programs at
local, regional and national level. Organize and conduct meetings on DRR-CCA
issues to coordinate works with national government and other key partners;
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in Indonesia climate change initiatives and/or urban development;
- Experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team;
- Experience in networking and project implementation, and documentation related to Indonesian climate change issues, and Indonesian government climate change initiatives and actors;
- BA/S or higher in environmental sciences, urban planning, international development and/or similar field;
- Fluency in English verbal and written communication is essential;
- Strong familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel are mandatory.
- Experience in developing vulnerability assessment, city resilience strategy or such climate resilience planning will be an advantage.
2. ME Officer – API Perubahan Phase II
ME Officer will responsible on
overall documentation of SCALE Resilience activities according to the program’s
Logframe. The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will play a key role in the
development, roll out and improvement of API Perubahan’s program design as well
as provide input on nationwide M&E design, monitoring and evaluation
(DM&E) system, working closely with API Perubahan team member and other
program Monitoring and Evaluation team members.
S/he will also provide technical support, training and guidance to
support all team members in API Perubahan Program. S/he will assist in developing demand driven
monitoring and evaluation tools, and train staff to use and analyze information
using the DM&E system. S/he will
coordinate with external evaluators and consultants, and provide monitoring and
evaluation technical guidance assistance to Mercy Corps Indonesia and partner
staff for API Perubahan. She/He has to make sure that M&E systems and data
must be fully integrated with Mercy Corps’ nationwide and M&E system,
allowing us to track national objectives through common
indicators to measure progress against the country strategy.”
Qualifications:
- This position requires a college degree;
- More than 5 years working in a professional setting and;
- More than 3 years experience in monitoring and evaluation position (USAID’s M&E Framework is highly considered);
- The candidate should be skilled in qualitative and quantitative M&E methodologies and comfortable in training and coaching role;
- The successful candidate must have an understanding of statistics, and be able to summarize, make generalizations and predictions from a large data set;
- Experience working with local NGOs or international NGO is preferred but not essential.
- Proficiency in English verbal and written communication, multi-tasking, organizational and prioritization skills are necessary;
- Computers skills with strong familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, SPSS, and database systems such as Access are mandatory.
