Muslim Hands, a UK-based international relief organisation working in
over 50 countries worldwide, is looking to expand its programme team in
Indonesia. The candidate will be based in our office in Medan and will
be responsible for increasing Muslim Hands operational capacity

- Produce professionally written proposal content that clearly articulates the organisations value proposition.
- Liaising with the various partners and stakeholders to ensure that proposals are in line with country strategy.
- Proven skills in producing and editing proposal content within a complex organisational environment.
- The candidate should be experienced in leading and participating in key review meetings / final document review, content sign off, and document production.
- Previous management experience preferred
- Good understanding of long term development schemes,
- Experience working closely with Donors and other stakeholders in relation to grants policy and practice
- Experience of coordinating and updating a knowledgebase system is beneficial.
- Successful and verifiable qualification in developing proposals for institutional funders both in development and emergency contexts.
- Strong time management / prioritisation skills.
- Strong written English language skills.
- Copywriting/editing skills
- Track record in producing successful proposals
- Familiarity with Sphere and other minimum standards for humanitarian response
- Excellent verbal and written communication and editing skills
- Excellent planning and organization skills
- Excellent working knowledge of computer software packages
- Proactive and self-motivated
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and handle a number of tasks
- Ability to follow the specified instructions in the documents to ensure compliance with information submittal formats/deadlines etc.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team
- Capable of working to tight and pressurised deadlines, in an organised manner
- Experience in producing timely, detailed, accurate and informative reports to meet organisational and donor requirements
- Bachelor (First Degree) in International Development, Journalism, Community Development or other related subjects
- Previous experience with INGOs
- Advanced MS Word skills & proficient in MS Office.
- Strong time management / prioritisation skills.
- Strong written English language skills
