Development Specialist in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Purpose of Position
GRM-Futures
is looking to recruit an experienced development professional to support the
continued growth of GRM-Futures in Indonesia.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not
limited to:
Support acquisition of new business in GRM Futures
core service areas: private sector
development, agriculture, education, health, livelihoods, social protection,
and governance.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key decision makers in client organisations including bilateral and multilateral aid agencies and philanthropic bodies.
- Maintain effective relationships with key national government partners including BAPPENAS, MOHA and sector ministries like MOEC, as well as with relevant sub-national government agencies.
- In partnership with in-house technical specialists, research, design and develop appropriate technical services for our clients.
- Contribute to development thinking in Indonesia through engagement and active participation in public fora and publication of high-quality research and briefing papers.
- Represent GRM to clients, government partners and other development stakeholders.
- Manage and coordinate bids and technical service offers.
- Draft technical and commercial tenders.
- Develop high-quality marketing material including drafting case studies, lessons learned papers, thought pieces etc.
Minimum education and experience required
- Relevant bachelor’s degree required in development, economics, business or relevant technical field. A master’s degree or higher preferred.
- Experience in business development in the international development sector strongly preferred.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in international development, related research or business development.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with strong business acumen.
- Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%
