Cowater International Inc. is a Canadian private-sector international development and management consulting firm, with experience managing and implementing projects in more than 60 countries worldwide.

Cowater is the Managing Contractor for the Empowering Indonesian Women for Poverty Reduction (MAMPU) that aims to improve the welfare of poor women in Indonesia. The Program is supporting national and sub national women and gender-interested organisations and their local partners to forge coalitions with others within the public and private sectors to improve access and livelihoods for poor women in Indonesia in selected geographic areas.

The Program is at an exciting phase of its development and needs two motivated and dynamic senior managers to join the Jakarta based team.

Technical Program Manager (Indonesian National)
The Technical program Manager, is a member of the Management Team reporting directly to the Team Leader, and will be responsible for the management and coordination of all technical services of the MAMPU Program and supervision of the technical team of staff and consultants.

The key responsibilities of this full-time position will be:
·         Coordinate and manage all technical services of the MAMPU program including but not limited to Partner planning and implementation, capacity building, and communications and knowledge management;
·     Provide lead direction in ensuring activity planning and associated implementation is in line with the Program Implementation Strategy, including the Capacity Development Strategy and Communication and Knowledge Management Strategy, and Monitoring and Evaluation Plan. 
·         Manage and oversee program implementation, design, and delivery for all capacity building-related activities targeted at capacity development of MAMPU Partners;
·         Coordinate all technical elements of MAMPU’s six-monthly work plans following DFAT approval, and monitor activity implementation;
·         Ensure timely contribution to reporting on MAMPU;
 
Qualifications
·         5-10 years of experience in managing a team of technical professionals including performance management
·         Tertiary or post graduate qualifications in gender, social development, health, management or another relevant discipline
·         Demonstrated experience in sourcing and managing high quality capacity building/technical assistance
·         Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively cross-culturally
·         Understanding of the Australian aid program, knowledge of the Indonesian Women’s Movement, gender equality issues and an understanding of the main players
·         Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia, and demonstrated ability to work successfully across cultures, particularly within the Indonesia and with CSO’s or activist organisations
·         Ideally possessing either Indonesian citizenship or permanent residency
