Save the Children Vacancy: Monev Officer, Bener Meriah

Save the Children is an international non-profit organization that focuses on the fulfillment of children’s right. Save the Children was first established in May 1919 in the U.K. and to date has 28 Save the Children Offices and operations in more than 120 countries worldwide. In 1976, Save the Children signed an MoU with the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, followed then by the operations of Save the Children throughout Indonesia. Currently, Save the Children work in 11 provinces with a variety of program areas, such as: Education, Health and Sanitation, Livelihood, Child Protection also Disaster Risk Reduction.
 
Save the Children is committed in conducting its programs in a way that is safe for children beneficiaries and to help protect children with whom Save the Children in a relationship. As a humanitarian organization, Save the Children is obliged to create and maintain an environment to prevent any sexual exploitation and sexual abuse of children as well as to promote the implementation of child safety policies.
 
Now we are looking for a position of:
 
MONITORING & EVALUATION OFFICER – ACEH PROGRAM (code: MEO-AP), 1 position, based in Bener Meriah
 
Save the Children currently implementing several projects in Bener Meriah, Aceh. Currently, at least three ongoing projects in Bener Meriah:

LINK2 : focus on livelihood and children health and nutrition

BISA : focus on Early Child Development

BLEND : focus on Early Child Development and Child Health and Nutrition
 
The M&E Officer ensures proper design and implementation of the monitoring system including disseminating results to stakeholders, and involving children and community members. S/he will be responsible for programmatic monitoring of all project activities. S/he will report to the Aceh Program Manager and be supported by a finance and administration, including logistic team in Bener Meriah. S/he is expected to work closely with Program Manager, SPO, and Program Officers in ensuring that all achievements and results of the project are well documented and reported according to the standard of Save the Children and the donor. S/he w is expected to work closely with National Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist in ensuring all M&E documents related to the projects are met the Save the Children guidance and procedures on time.
 
Reports to: Aceh Program Manager
 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Under the lead of Aceh Program Manager and consultation with National M&E Specialist develop design, methodology, procedures and tools of Program Manager with refer to CP ME system.
  • Plan, manage and report of all activities on monitoring and evaluation based on day-by-day operational activities.
  • Document all relevant data and information both quantitative and qualitative regarding the project activities.
  • Work with project staff and partners in the implementation of ME plan and support them in process of data collection.
  • Ensure that the reporting data is collected in a technically correct manner and accurately reflect field realities and meet quality standards;
  • Update periodically data of the process and result of the projects including that achieved by partners.
  • Prepare monthly success story and total reach
  • Conduct analysis data and information as well as formulate conclusion of project under consultation with Aceh PM and National M&E Specialist.
  • Provide all project staff with data and information they request.
  • Support Aceh PM and National M&E Specialist for dissemination ME results to donor and stakeholders.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES
  • Bachelors University Degree or equivalent in a relevant field
  • At least 5 years work experience with non-government organizations,
  • At least 4 years experience in education programs with international NGOs.
  • Knowledge and skills in methods to promote improvements in livelihoods, particularly coffee supply chain and micro credit.
  • Proven experience in research and monitoring and evaluation.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing monitoring and evaluation programs
  • Demonstrated experience in the delivery of development projects, preferably in the livelihood, health and nutrition, and early child development sector
  • Excellent in social and in interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
