Project Overview
The USAID/Higher Education Leadership and Management (HELM) project was awarded to Chemonics International on November 28, 2011. The five year project was designed to support Indonesia’s Higher Education (HE) sector in increasing its quality and relevance through improved focus on administration and management capacity.
The USAID/Higher Education Leadership and Management (HELM) project was awarded to Chemonics International on November 28, 2011. The five year project was designed to support Indonesia’s Higher Education (HE) sector in increasing its quality and relevance through improved focus on administration and management capacity.
In
partnership with the Ministry of Education and Culture and the
Directorate General of Higher Education (DIKTI), HELM provides technical
assistance, training, and additional support to strengthen the
leadership capacity and increase effectiveness in the following four
core management areas: 1) General administration and leadership; 2)
Financial management; 3) Quality assurance, and 4) Collaboration with
external stakeholders.
We invite applications from dynamics and energetic team players for the following position:
Regional Coordinator Makassar [RC]
General Requirements:
- Ability to work both independently and in a team.
- Fluency in English required, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skill; must be confident in Microsoft applications.
- Must be interested in working with a multi-cultural, international team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in related field required. Doctoral level preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in the field of Education with USAID or other donor supported programs required.
- Experience working in an Indonesian university and familiarity with Indonesian higher education are system preferred.
- Experience developing and maintaining relationships with leaders of institutions required.
- Experience with management, administrative and financial skills.
- Experience monitoring implementation of program activities.
- Position will be placed in Makassar and requires extensive travel both regionally and other locations as needed.
- Knowledge in East Indonesia regional area preferred
