Nutrition Specialist, s/he will be responsible to assist and
support the Indonesian Integrated Rural Program in WASH and nutrition in the design of the
behavior change component. Develop a behavior change strategy using research
results that incorporates an “integrated package” of nutrition, gender
strategies and actions for program implementation to raise awareness and
educate colleagues in the health field about the benefits of healthy eating.
Provide technical assistance to the MOH and other GOI agencies to strengthen
policy support and develop behavior change strategies for WASH and Nutrition, care, support and
treatment. Provide technical assistance to develop, review and revise the
national technical documents related to strategy, guidelines, training modules
and curricula, standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to programs for
nutrition. Work with key stakeholders in such strategic activities as
coordination, policy meetings, technical working groups, using these fora and
practical nutrition research projects to advocate for the integrated (minimum)
package of nutrition and gender actions. Assist in monitoring and supporting
the progress of behavior change activities in Indonesia.
Minimum Requirements: Degree in relevant discipline preferably in nutrition, public health, environmental health, health promotion. 5-10 years experience working with government, PVOs and NGOs, in leading communication initiatives in developing/transitional countries. Must have excellent communication, presentation and writing skills both in English and Bahasa.
