Currently we are searching for a qualified candidate to fill the position of:
PUBLICATIONS MANAGER
The
Publications Manager serves as senior writer/editor with lead
responsibility for writing and editing a variety of marketing &
communication
materials that make a strong connection with TNC's key audiences.
Specific projects may include newsletters & magazines,
executive-level speeches and campaigns to support new product/service
launches, collateral for all mediums (from print to Web), educational
programs, and communication tools. S/he serves as an expert resource to
organization’s many departments and plays a lead role in crafting
communications solutions that meet specific project objectives while
simultaneously strengthening the TNC brand. S/he
participates in devising strategies and promotions in collaboration
with internal departments to meet specific marketing and philanthropy
targets.
The
Publications Manager’s responsibilities include managing the design and
production of its diverse range of publication projects and print
materials, maintaining consistent
visual image and writing style, soliciting and securing project bids
& contract negotiations. S/he works with outside vendors to manage
production schedules and procedures. S/he coordinates scheduling
considerations with production counterparts. S/he interprets
and administers documentation/communication policies and procedures and
exercises quality control over documents intended for external
distribution.
The
Publications Manager will also support the management and execution of
special events such as exhibitions, celebratory event, etc., in
collaboration with programmatic
staff, and in some cases supervising third-parties such as events
management firms in the execution of such events.
This position will be based in Jakarta.
Basic Qualifications:
·
Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, or related field and 6 years related experience or equivalent combination
·
Experience crafting organization- or company-wide communication tools, including branding
·
Experience presenting to diverse audiences
including some or all of the following: internal and external
executives, donors, members, board members, and the public or equivalent
·
Experience designing, implementing, and directing multiple complex projects
·
Experience with QuarkXPress, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Office applications in a Macintosh format
·
Experience with design and production of marketing publications
·
Experience with, coursework, or other training in the printing process and other aspects of publications production
·
Experience editing, proofreading, writing, and with verbal communications
Requirements:
·
Experience in journalism or fund-raising writing and editing preferred
·
Excellent and versatile skills in conceptual thinking, writing, editing, and verbal communications
·
Excellent organizational and project management
skills including discerning best writing levels for external and
internal audiences
·
Ability to manipulate, analyze and interpret data. Demonstrated experience in MS Office preferred
·
Demonstrated experience in developing strategic,
high quality marketing products and plans as well as familiarity with
creative processes
·
Must be able to perform routine maintenance in a Macintosh environment
·
Strong design and production skills, thorough knowledge of the printing process and all aspects of publications production
·
Superior editing, proofreading, oral, verbal and written communication skills
·
Ability to work well in both team-driven environments, and on independent assignments
·
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required
