Proposal Summary:
The
purpose of the anticipated Health Technical Assistance Project
(BANTU) is to identify, recruit, hire, administer and support qualified
individuals or organizations that will provide short or long-term technical
assistance directly to the Government of Indonesia (GoI) as needed and
requested by USAID/Indonesia’s Office of Health, in particular, to support
USAID’s GHI and CDCS strategies and priorities.
Position Summary:
MSI is seeking Client
Relationship Managers (CRM) for the upcoming BANTU Project. The CRM will
support and oversee a pool of public health technical specialists, and facilitate
communication among clients and Specialists. S/he will serve as a resource for
technical and management support, supply needed oversight and monitoring, link
both the technical specialists and clients with the appropriate BANTU staff to
resolve issues at any point in the process – from recruiting to human resource
management to performance measurement.
The project is
seeking at least three CRMs with technical skills in the following sectors: maternal
and neonatal health; child health; nutrition; epidemiology; evaluation; health
information, monitoring and disease surveillance systems; research
methodologies; biostatistics; reproductive health; HIV/AIDS; tuberculosis;
influenza; emerging pandemic threats; neglected tropical diseases; writing and
editing; financial and organizational management; curriculum development;
gender; social science research, information technology. These positions will
be based full-time in Jakarta.

Responsibilities:
· Manage relationships
with individual clients.
· Ensure seamless
transition from need to final performance assessment.
· Meet with the
recruiting team regularly to coordinate and ensure needs of clients are met and
discuss anticipated needs (new positions and replacements).
· Participate in weekly
staff meetings with BANTU Management and client.
·
Lead
orientation of newly hired technical specialists before assignments.
·
Perform
periodic visits at the technical specialists’ worksites.
·
Work
with the monitoring and evaluation team to develop and implement surveys to
clients and technical specialists.
·
Track
the technical specialists’ deliverables in BANTU database, facilitate
deliverable progress dialogue between clients and technical specialists, and collect
feedback from demobilizing technical specialists to improve recruitment and
management processes.

Clarify
scopes of work for clients in coordination with recruiters as needed.
· Assist clients as
“Helpdesk” resource and address their specific issues or needs (e.g. recruiting
for a new position or human resource issue).
· Follow up regularly
on technical specialists’ invoices and coordinate requests for payment with
project accountant.
Qualifications:
·
Master’s degree in public health, health administration, health
science or related health fields.
·
Minimum five years of experience in providing appropriate public
health technical expertise with USAID or other donor funded projects.
·
Significant experience in recruiting, monitoring progress of and
assuring quality of work for a wide range of technical specialists.
·
Ability to create and build professional networks for relationships
in promoting initiatives for public health with government agencies.
·
Ability to deliver results according to client specifications, and
needs, customizing relationships with various clients.
- Ability to work within a team and multitask.

Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesian.
