the Children is an international non-profit organization that focuses
on the fulfillment of children’s right. Save the Children was first
established in May 1919 in the U.K. and to date has 28 Save the Children
Offices and operations
in more than 120 countries worldwide. In 1976, Save the Children signed
an MoU with the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of
Indonesia, followed then by the operations of Save the Children
throughout Indonesia.
Currently, Save the Children work in
11 provinces with a variety of program areas, such as: Education,
Health and Sanitation, Livelihood, Child Protection also Disaster Risk
Reduction.
Save
the Children is committed in conducting its programs in a way that is
safe for children beneficiaries and to help protect children with whom
Save the Children in a relationship. As a humanitarian organization,
Save the Children is
obliged to create and maintain an environment to prevent any sexual
exploitation and sexual abuse of children as well as to promote the
implementation of child safety policies.
Now we are looking for a position of:
TREASURY ANALYST (code: TA-CO), based in Jakarta Country Office
As
a member Finance team shares in the overall responsibility for the
direction and coordination of the Country Office (CO). The Treasury
Analyst in his/her capacity is responsible for finance administration,
assist the finance preparation,
cash and banking in both emergency and development programming contexts
for Save the Children in Indonesia Country Office
Report to : Finance & Budget Manager
Job Responsibilities
- Make sure that all relevant/adequate documents required for payments to consultants, suppliers, local partners are reviewed and completed
- Perform bank related work including physically visiting bank and collecting bank statements; depositing checks; opening/closing bank accounts; updating the bank signatories etc;
- Assist preparing vouchers and getting signatures from the appropriate persons; helping for quick processing of payments.
- Make program advances and subsequently follow-up for settlement and giving reminder.
- Assist FMS related work, so that Finance team can complete their job timely and run the system properly.
- Ensure that Jakarta Office maintains a single petty cash system to make sure a better serving, clear reporting and controlling
- Ensure that all financial documents are properly filed and maintained so that it is easy to be tacked for any quires for the Country Office
- Collect the monthly cash request from budget holders/support departments and prepare the monthly Country Office cash request.
Qualifications
- BA in Accounting or Business Administration or similar field.
- Minimum 2 years professional experience in similar organization.
- Experience of working with INGO, UN or similar and experience of donor relations are an advantage.
- Excellent knowledge of computer systems, software, networking, in particular in Excel.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Good Team Player with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel and to do long workdays during peak times
- Ability to work independently when required without considerable day to day support
