consortium of Burung Indonesia, The Royal Society for the Protection of
Birds and Birdlife International has established Harapan Rainforest to
protect and restore the productivity and ecosystem balance of more than
98,000 ha of dry lowland rainforest in Jambi and South Sumatra
provinces, Sumatra, under the first ever ecosystem restoration license
issued by the Indonesian government. With support from several
international donors, Harapan Rainforest will make a significant
contribution to the global debate on ecosystem restoration, biodiversity
conservation, combatting deforestation and tackling climate change.
Harapan Rainforest is located 3-hour drive south of Jambi City. In turn, Jambi can be reached by one hour flight from Jakarta or Batam. Accommodation on site is simple but comfortable. Manager Quality Management Systems
These positions will be based at HUTAN HARAPAN operations camp.

Qualifications:
- Indonesian National
- University degree (minimum BSc or S1) in Forestry, Natural Resources, Agriculture, Occupational Health and Safety or closely related professional field of study.
- 5 years’ experience in production forestry, land management or other related industry
- 3 years’ experience in Quality and Environmental Management Systems
- Experience in coordinating the development of Corporate and Departmental Standard Operating Procedures
- Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems Certification requirements, assessment processes and coordinating with external auditing bodies.
- Understanding of governmental structures, regulations and corporate legal compliance
- Experience in internal auditing processes and non-conformity reports
- General knowledge of Ecosystem Restoration license requirements
- Strong leadership skills, communicative and team player
- Able to communicate in both Indonesian and English (speak, read, and write)
- Assess the current status and readiness of each Department for conducting a QMS preliminary audit.
- Develop an educational program about the value and implementation of QMS for Departmental Managers and staff.
- Assist PT REKI management to prepare the necessary corporate Policies and SOP’s for achieving QMS certification.
- Assist Departmental Managers to improve and prepare Departmental SOP’s and documentation systems in preparation for QMS certification.
- Train and develop QMS staff to conduct internal audits and prepare for or maintain QMS certification.
- Develop a contract and coordinate with an approved External Auditing Body to conduct preliminary QMS audit.
- Develop an action plan and timeline for PT REKI to achieve QMS Certification(s).
- Maintain consistent communication and coordination with PT REKI Management, Departmental Managers, and Technical Advisors.
- Report to the Chief Estate Manager, PT REKI or designated representative.
