Article 33 Indonesia is a research-oriented advocacy institution. It
aims at evidence-based and progressive policy reform in Indonesia. Founded in
2009, previously it was called PATTIRO Institute. Its present name reflects a desire to uphold the
noble ideals of the Article 33 of the 1945
Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia in which “The earth and water and
natural resources contained therein shall be controlled by the State and be
utilized for the greatest prosperity of the people.” (Verse 3).
It considers such ideals to represent its
organizational vision
and mission: The integrity of governance and
public finance management that support sustainable and inclusive development in
Indonesia (Vision); To promote good governance and public finance management
related to basic services, extractive resources, and adaptation and mitigation
of climate change in Indonesia (Mission).
Article 33 Indonesia
focuses on public finance management and governance issues in three major areas : social
policy, governance of extractive resources, and climate change/Forestry. At
present, Article 33 Indonesia is
developing 3 models of work: knowledge production, progressive policy advocacy,
and strengthening

Article 33 Indonesia is currently looking for
Researchers, Communication Specialist, and Finance Manager, with the details
below.
1. Social Policy Researcher
The responsibility of this position includes:
conducting research,data analysis and management, writing research report and (co)-authoring peer-reviewed
publication, presenting research result and policy analysis, enggaging with policy-maker
and relevant stakeholders, developing internal plan and
deepening organizational knowledge especially in the areas of
education, health and poverty.
Requirements: (i) Bachelor or Master
(preferable) in related discipline. (ii) Research experience;
(iii) Enggagement with policy-maker experience; (iv) Organizational experience in social or student movement and/or professional association is
preferable;
(v) English fluency
in speaking and
writing.
2. Extractive Governance
Researcher
The responsibility of this position includes:
conducting research, data analysis and management, writing
research report and (co)-authoring peer-reviewed publication, writing
research report and (co)-authoring peer-reviewed publication, presenting
research result and policy analysis, enggaging with policy-maker and relevant
stakeholders, developing internal plan and deepening organizational
knowledge, especially in the area of extractive governance (oil, gas, mining,
with oil and mining as the present focus).
Requirements: (i) Bachelor or Master
(preferable) in related discipline. (ii) Research experience;
(iii) Experience in enggagement with policy-maker; (iv)
Organizational experience in student or social
movement and/or professional association . (v) English fluency in speaking and writing.
3. Climate Change Researcher
The responsibility of this position includes:
conducting research, data analysis and management, writing research report and (co)-authoring peer-reviewed
publication, presenting research result and policy analysis, enggaging with
policy-maker and relevant stakeholders, developing
internal plan, and deepening organizational knowledge
especially in the area of forestry and
forest-based climate
change mitigation and adaptation.
Essential requirements: (i) Bachelor or Master (preferable) in related
discipline. (ii) Research experients; (iii) Experince
in enggagement
with policy-maker; (iv) Organizational experience
in student or social movements and/or professional association . (v) English fluency in speaking and writing.
4. Communication Specialist
The communication specialist will working with program staff to develop and
implement a communications strategy, to further advocacy goals and ensure our
publication is accurately targeted at the intended audiences.
Key responsibilities: integrating research and advocacy
campaign goals into organizational media presence, developing
and managing the organization’s internet presence (including website
and enggagement in social media), monitoring organization’s media
coverage, developing press release, brochures and other
materials, managing production of printed, video and other
publications to maintain high levels of professionalism, identifying
outreach opportunities to build organizational appearance, actively participating in and contributing to organizational development.
Requirements: (i) Bachelor or Master
(preferable) in related discipline. (ii) Communciation-work experience;
(iii) Enggagement with broad stakeholders; (iv) Organizational experience in social and student movement. (v) Fluently english speaking and writing.
5. Finance Manager
The finance manager is responsible for ensuring accountability,
transparency, and integrity in financial management so as to ensure compliance
with standard operating procedures, government regulations, and funding
requirements.
Key responsibilities: leading strategis financial
management activities including annual budget development, financial planning
and cash-flow, and periodic reporting to funding; maintaining
financial oversight of the program’s day-to-day activities; preparing
regular budgets and accounting reports, and other documents as required;
provide expert guidance in the costing of proposed activities; undertaking
internal audits and assist with external audits, as required; developing
effective and professional working relationships with partners and funding
agency.
Requirements: (i) Bachelor or Master
(preferable) in related discipline. (ii) Finance-related-work experients; (iii)
Fluency inenglish.
