Grants Officer 

AusAID funded HIV Cooperation Program for Indonesia 

Position based in Jakarta

GRM International in collaboration with the Burnet Institute is the managing contractor for the HIV Cooperation Program for Indonesia (HCPI), the largest component of the Australia Indonesia Partnership for HIV.
 
HCPI is seeking applications from suitably qualified individuals for the position of Grants Officer. Under the direction of the Finance Director, the Grants Officer will be responsible for: 
  • Effective management of all contracts with partner organisations including maintaining contractual records and documentation such as receipt and control of all contract correspondence, partner contact information sheets, contractual changes, status reports and other documents. 
  • Delivering training and mentoring to project partners in financial management of organisations and in particular of HCPI grant funds. 
  • Maintaining appropriate computer based and other records necessary for the running of the project partner’s grants program. 
  • Assessing financial proposals from project partners. 
  • Assisting in developing standard costs for particular activities covered under the grants program and applying it. 
  • Doing the assessment of the financial capacity of project partners to utilise funds in a transparent and effective manner. 
  • Checking the acquittals and preparing reports/records from acquittals from project partners for checking by Finance Director. 
  • Assist the Finance Director with other aspects of project financial management as directed by the Australian Team Leader. 
  • Ensure contract close-out, extension or renewal, and 
  • Maintaining communications with technical teams and partners and provincial office.
Interested candidates for the position should have the following qualifications and experience:
  • Indonesian Nationality
  • S1 Degree in Accounting or minimum five year experience in grants management
  • Demonstrated experience and skills working with computer-based finance packages
  • Demonstrated experience working with grants program for project partners
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly with spreadsheet and database software (MS Office)
  • Demonstrated experience and skills in working in a busy office environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and to function as a team member while also being able to work independently
  • Good oral and written communication skills/ability to provide financial training programs
  • Ability to function in both Bahasa Indonesian and English
