Chemonics seeks Indonesian nationals to fill the following anticipated positions:
- Strategy Planning Expert/Team Leader
- Capture Fisheries/Sustainable Fisheries Management Expert
- Aquaculture/Business Development Expert
- Fisheries Product and Seafood Safety Specialist
- Coastal and Small Islands Marine Fisheries Expert
on the USAID-funded
Indonesia Marine and Climate Support project in Indonesia. The anticipated work
aims to assist the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (MMAF) with the
formulation of the 2015-2019 strategic plan.
Responsibilities
include: helping to form and coordinate MMAF strategic planning teams,
organizing meetings, events and accessing relevant information from a variety
of sources and helping MMAF to develop the various components of the next
strategic plan.
Qualifications:
- At least ten years of experience at a senior academic level or high level government officer or an industry professional in one or more of the above positions disciplines.
- Experienced in developing teams and working groups comprising of senior government official, university professors, recognized scholars, leaders in their fields, senior industry members and other eminent people.
- Ability to manage a small team of diverse national experts and shorter term national and international consultants.
- High level program/activity planning and technical report writing skills.
- Proven experience in undertaking activities aimed at increased political support and access to financial resources for strategic planning and implementation of activities.
- At least a Master’s Degree in the relevant discipline; higher degree desirable.
- Strong communication skills, both interpersonal and written, to fulfill the technical and managerial responsibilities proposed.
- Strong English writing and speaking skills preferred;
- Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia required.
- Desirable: Human resources experience and coordinating/cooperating with diverse teams of specialists
