Handicap International and Kosorsium Nasional Difabel (Konnas Difabel) funded by The Australia Indonesia Partnership for Justice will work together in 3 provinces (Sulsel, NTB and NTT) to improve capacities of organizations of persons with disabilities to raise-awareness about and participate in efforts to enable better access for people with disability to justice mechanisms.
HI currently is looking for a position for its office in Yogyakarta:
Position Title: Deputy Project Manager
Location: Yogyakarta
Closing date: September 22, 2013
TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIESUnder the line management of the Project Manager (PM), the Deputy Project Manager will coordinate and implement the project activities. S/he works in close coordination with the different actors and networks involved in the project. The tasks in particular are:
- To support the PM in ensuring the activities planning
- To ensure the implementation and review of the activities
- To support disabled people organizations in promoting the rights of people with disabilities with focus in justice and law
- To manage 3 project officers
- To develop ToR and budget activities
- To prepare monthly reports for PM as well as donor reports
DUTY STATION: The Deputy Project Manager will be based in Yogyakarta with frequent travels to Sulawasi, NTT and NTB.
PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTSEssential:

- Bachelor degree in law or social sciences
- Minimum 3 years of experience working directly with disabled people organizations
- Minimum 3 years of experience working directly with people with disabilitilies
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with civil society organizations on issues related to capacity building and advocacy
- Strong understanding of concept, issues, law and policies related to rights of people with disabilities
- Fluent in English
Desired:
- Understanding of legal and justice system in Indonesia
Contract
will be for a period of 7 months with the possibililty of renewal to
the end of the project. The recruitment is subject to the availability
of funding.
