Papua Gender Justice Officer
Fixed Term, 12 Month appointment with the possibility of extention
Grade : D1 One (1) Position
The role:
The key functions of this officer are to maintain the linkages Oxfam has built with the Papuan women networking in both provinces, built and maintain engagement with related local government offices, and also to bridge the sharing and exchanges of data, information, resources between Oxfam and partners working in Papua on gender justice issues, with the same works done by Oxfam Gender Justice country team and the national partners. The officer is expected to be able to provide practical solutions based on the relevant situation in the fields.

KEY Responsibilities:
- Build and manage partnership with local NGOs in Papua and West Papua that working in gender justice and women's empowerment issues;
- Build and maintain coordination and linkages with related local government offices in Papua and West Papua, to promote Oxfam's gender justice principles and programs;
- Identification of capacity building needs, supporting the establishment of linkages and learning amongst forums and networks of gender justice and women's empowerment issues in Papua and West Papua;
- Provide practical solutions for gender related issues facing by partners.
- Link gender justice work of Oxfam in Papua to gender justice works nationally done by Oxfam, and vice versa;
- Assist Oxfam Papua team and Oxfam country gender justice team in the
development of new gender justice works/programs in Papua and West
Papua.
