The role:
Emergency preparedness and Response Coordinator will be working in close relationship with the Rights in Crisis Lead, the DRR/CCA Coordinator, the PH Technical Coordinator, the role of the Emergency Preparedness & Response Coordinator to ensure preparedness and manage the emergency responses, oversee proposal development and fundraising as necessary, and provide support to the Emergency Response Team and all Emergency Project Managers, ensuring a high standard of program quality and accountability both within Oxfam’s own activities and those of partners.
In addition, the Emergency Preparedness & Response Coordinator should ensure the team’s confidence and capacity to respond and co-ordinate with others during future emergencies as necessary. S/he will also manage personnel and resources, and is responsible for maintaining positive relationships with Oxfam partners, donors and other key humanitarian stakeholders.
To be successful in this role you will:
You will need to have minimum of five years experience with international agencies in implementing and managing humanitarian responses, including experience of building local capacities to assess, design and manage program. Having good understanding of relief and development issues, preferably in the context of complex emergency situation. It is essential that you have strong ability to rapidly assimilate, analyses, conceptualize and report on complex information and in data collection research and impact analysis as well as excellent knowledge and proven experience in managing the project cycle, including project planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation The nature of the role means you'll often have to travel across the country in changeable situations
