recruiting Indonesian Nationals for the following two positions:
USAID Project Management Specialist (Climate Change Adaptation), FSN-9 / FSN-10 (Trainee Level), FSN-11 (Full Performance Level) (Post Code: ENV-CCA)
Salary starts from Rp.11,384,589 per month depending on qualifications, experience and salary history.
BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION:
The primary function of the Project Management Specialist – Climate Change Adaptation (PMS-CCA) is to serve as the technical lead in designing, implementing, and coordinating activities in the area of adaptation to global climate change. S/He will work under the direction of the Supervisory Program Specialist (Emergency Response Officer) and/or his/her designee in the USAID Environment Office. The PMS-CCA will provide expert technical and policy advice on issues related to adaptation in forestry, energy, coastal and marine resource management, water and sanitation management, and disaster risk reduction management. The incumbent will engage in and lead policy dialogue with senior representatives of the Government of Indonesia at national and regional levels and with development partners, bilateral and multilateral donors, and international organizations. In addition, s/he will take leadership in advising, guiding, and coordinating other USAID/Indonesia offices and other USG agencies on integrating adaptation strategies into their on-going activities. The incumbent is responsible for effective management of one or more contracts and/or grants issued under USG's Global Climate Change Initiative. As the Contracting and Agreement Officer's Representative (COR/AOR) or as an alternate COR/AOR, the incumbent is responsible for administrative and programmatic management of USAID activities and programs, which additionally includes serving as the alternate on all disaster risk reduction (DRR) related issues.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Master's Degree from an accredited university in fishery, biology, natural resources management, environment management, or in a related environmental or development field relevant to climate change adaptation is required.
- Minimum three years (FSN-9 trainee level), five years (FSN-10 trainee level) or seven years (FSN-11 full performance position) of progressively responsible, professional experience in development assistance in one or more of the fields listed above including at least three years of work experience in a donor project or program development/implementation.
- Level IV (Fluent) speaking/reading/writing in English and Indonesian.
- Must have a thorough knowledge of the concepts, principles, techniques, and practices of climate change adaptation, coastal community resilience for climate change adaptation (CCA), development assistance principles and approaches.
- Must have knowledge of Government of Indonesia environmental policies and practices (including climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction) local institutional development, decentralization policies, rural development and of related regulations and procedures.
- Must be able to: a). Obtain, analyze, and evaluate a variety of data; b). Organize and present technical information in concise written and oral form; c). Plan, develop, manage and evaluate important and complex programs independently; d). Furnish information and advice in assigned areas objectively; e). Follow oral instructions, and organize, prioritize and follow through on all assignments with minimal oversight; f). Type accurately; g). Edit documents; h). Focus on details; and i). Demonstrate proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and other computer applications (i.e. Microsoft Office, Excel, Power Point, etc.).
