Mercy Corps Indonesia is currently seeking to fill the post through external candidates: Research Manager

The Research Manager will be responsible to lead community mobilization efforts around spatial planning for 3 hectares of land in a Karawang contract factory and Lead data analysis of findings in the process of identifying spatial plan components that meet the needs of the workers and the factories.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree (S1) in social studies;
  • Minimum of 5 years of development experience in Indonesia, particularly in community mobilization;
  • Preference is given to those who have conducted similar projects in the past on space planning processes and/or factory worker populations;
  • Must have experience in quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis, particularly focus group discussions and interviews;
  • Proficient in Bahasa Indonesia and English, verbal and writing;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and must demonstrate excellent knowledge of using search engines analytically.
Research Officer

The Research Officer will be responsible for the partnership with the Research Manager, support community mobilization efforts around spatial planning for 3 hectares of land in a Karawang contract factory. Support data analysis of findings in the process of identifying spatial plan components that meet the needs of the workers and the factories.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree (S1) in social studies;
  • Minimum of 2 years of research and/or development experience in Indonesia, particularly in community mobilization;
  • Preference is given to those who have conducted similar projects in the past on space planning processes and/or factory worker populations;
  • Must have experience in quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis, particularly focus group discussions and interviews;
  • Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Proficient in Bahasa Indonesia and English, verbal and writing;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and must demonstrate excellent knowledge of using search engines analytically.
  • The above positions will be hired as temporary staff for 3 months.
