Since 2011 Hivos will focus on four main themes: Expression & Engagement, Rights & Citizenship, Green Entrepreneurship and Action for Change. The SWITCH‐Asia project falls under the Green Entrepreneurship theme and is a project co‐funded by the European Union.
Working with implementing partners in Indonesia and the Philippines, SWiTCH‐Asia project aims to promote sustainable consumption and production (SCP) of hand‐woven eco‐textiles in Indonesia and the Philippines. The SWITCH‐Asia project will achieve the aim through scaling up successful SCP practices throughout the market chain, and development of an enabling policy environment.
The project duration is 4 years and during the period, is designed to reach 7,000 entrepreneurs in the hand‐woven textile value chain (weavers, natural dye and fiber producers), 220 entrepreneurial groups and 40 cooperatives, 250,000 urban consumers and 30 local, provincial and national government bodies
The SWITCH‐Asia Junior Project Officer will be part of the management team overseeing the project, designed to be delivered with the following implementing partners in Indonesia and the Philippines: Association for Women in Small Business Assistance (ASPPUK in Indonesia), Non‐Timber Forest Products – Exchange Programs (NTFP‐EP in Philippines), Cita Tenun Indonesia (CTI in Indonesia), Badan Nasional Sertifikasi Profesi (BNSP in Indonesia) and the Philippines Textile Research Institute.

The SWITCH‐Asia Junior Project Officer will be assisting the Project Manager to ensure the contract management and implementation of the project is delivered as outlined in the Project Contract with the European Union and to meet with HIVOS standard.

Job Description :
The SWITCH‐Asia Junior Project Officer will be assisting the Project Manager to ensure the contract management and implementation of the project is delivered as outlined in the Project Contract with the European Union and to meet with HIVOS standard.
Specific tasks:
- To support the SWITCH‐Asia Project Manager in monitoring and managing the effectiveness and efficiency of the implementing partners’ performance. In particular: monitoring and evaluation tasks, compiling financial and technical reports of the project implementation in accordance to EU & HIVOS standard.
- To assist the SWITCH‐Asia Project Manager in the day to day project administration and management, including but not limited to: processes funding request from partners, prepare grant/contract agreements, organise seminars/training/events, contribute to development of programme report/other communication materials
- To provide technical support to implementing partners, if required. The support would require short term but frequent travel to different locations in Indonesia & the Philippines
- To manage SWITCH‐Asia correspondence with stakeholders
- Report directly to the SWITCH‐Asia Project Manager
Qualifications :
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in private sector or donor organization, on project management.
- Has a strong experience managing administrative and financial reporting of a project
- Can demonstrate professional written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia
- Can demonstrate successful track record working in and within multidisciplinary team
- Has a strong interpersonal communication and negotiation skill with internal and external stakeholders
- Preference will be given to candidate with EU‐funded project management experience
- Previous working experience in an international environment/organization would be an advantage
- Passion in capacity building, social development or entrepreneurship‐related issues would be an advantage.
- Having respect for humanitarian or humanist principles and willing to work in a non‐discriminating, neutral, impartial and gender equal environment
