Agricultural Specialist for Indonesia
Effective with the release of this position announcement, Winrock International will be recruiting applicants for the position of Agricultural Specialist with the Clean Energy Group (CEG). The responsibilities, duties, and qualifications are described in the attached position description. Position is contingent upon receipt of donor funding.

PROGRAM SUMMARY:
Winrock is seeking Agricultural Specialist candidates for a renewable energy and agriculture development program. The program will consist of cross-cutting activities that link renewable energy technology with agricultural production needs to achieve socio-economic goals principally in rural areas. Citizens of Indonesia residing in Indonesia are encouraged to apply.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
POSITION TITLE: Agricultural Specialist

Winrock is seeking Agricultural Specialist candidates for a renewable energy and agriculture development program. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide technical leadership for all agricultural and horticultural project activities
- Assess and identify agriculture sites for the program
- Work with input and service providers to identify crops and varieties
- Assess production technology and inputs required
- Identify opportunities for diversified agriculture synergy
- Work closely with other members of the local team and international STTAs across multidisciplinary disciplinary areas to ensure integrated results
- Manage the work of an agricultural assistant and short term specialists as it relates to agriculture
- Ensure women and marginalized groups are beneficiaries of the project.
- Provide input for preparation of annual work plans and progress reports, and monitor the implementation of these plans within the agro-economic project activities.
- Provide input for preparation of quarterly reports on progress of activities and achievement of program results to donor.
- Establish relationships with private and public sector stakeholders and set up meetings to provide information about the project as part of awareness building
- Participate in field visits to the project areas to collect data and assure project progress towards activity objectives and goals.
- Support the Chief of Party (COP) with respect to managing relationships with complementary donor projects.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Represent Winrock at meetings and events as required by the COP and prepare presentation and awareness building materials
QUALIFICATIONS AND BACKGROUND:
Education: A master's degree in agriculture, horticulture, business administration related to agriculture.

Work Experience:
- At least 7 years of professional experience with international development organizations of progressively responsible experience in one or more of the areas of: agriculture, horticulture and irrigation
- Working with smallholders and farming cooperatives
- Experience with traditional, drip and ferti-irrigation systems
- Working with national and regional government departments on agricultural projects with private sector participation.
- Experience in Indonesia required.
Skills:
- Proven excellent communication skills written and oral in English and Bahasa, i.e. examples of reports written, lectures/seminars given.
- Ability to diplomatically supervise staff and coordinate programs with partners from a broad range of backgrounds and experiences.
- Must be comfortable in high-level representational role as well as interacting with beneficiaries.
