The role:
Under the supervision of the PM of Building and Deepening Resilience in Eastern Indonesia and the support technically from DRR/CCA Coordinator and technical teams, the Project Officer will oversee the implementation of the Women Leadership Strengthening project as well as to ensure a high standard of programme quality and accountability both within Oxfam’s own activities and those of programme partners.

The requirement:
Essential Skill and Competencies:
Job Specific
- Minimum two years’ experience of gender work;
- Strong understanding and skill on gender analysis, including various tools and methods for gender analysis;
- Experience in gender training, and gender specific advocacy;
- Experience of providing strategic inputs and guidance at different levels ;
- Expertise and Experience in participatory approach;
- Experience of capacity building: training and mentoring, giving and receiving feedback;
- Strong ability to communicate well: listening and questioning skills, creative thinking and problem solving;
- Familiarity with NGOs, Civil Society Organisations ;
- Proficiency in spoken and written Indonesian and English;
- Computer literacy in word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software.
Desirable Skill and Competencies:
- Minimum of two years experiences with international/local agencies in implementing and managing activities related to gender and disaster management or development programme
- University Education in Management, social science or Development related field of study
- Previous working experience with Oxfam.
- Good understanding on Humanitarian Programme/DRR, CBDRM, relief and development issues, including mainstreaming gender into DRR works
- Experience in working in multi-sectoral programme and ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure and to deadlines.
