Red Nose Foundation currently works with over 1000 children offering over 120 hours of education and arts classes each week. Since 2008, Red Nose Foundation programming has affected over 120,000 children across Indonesia.
Red Nose Foundation uses circus as its main approach in developing the youths and children’s skills. The Social Circus approach is implemented in all of its programs to build self-confidence, discipline, teamwork, and good character. In addition to that, Red Nose runs many alternative education classes such as Literacy and Numeracy, Job Readiness, Hotel Vocational, Sport and Healthy Lifestyles, to support the students’ personal and educational development.
We are looking for an Education Supervisor to be part of the RNF Creative Education Department team.

- Direct Supervisor: Program Coordinator
The Edu Supervisor will work closely with the Program Coordinator to ensure that the education field activities meet the students’ educational needs and the foundation’s strategic mission. His/her basic responsibility is to supervise and oversee a team that teaches the Creative Education program. The person will make sure that classes are conducted in accordance with Red Nose teaching and learning procedure policy, lesson plans, and schedule. S/he will report to the Program Coordinator on a regular basis.
REQUIREMENTS
- Min. Bachelor degree in Education Management/Education Technology/Teaching with min. GPA of 3.0.
- At least 5 years of teaching and or management experience in an educational institution.
- Possess good knowledge and skill of creative teaching and alternative education activities.
- Creative and fun with strong leadership skills.
- Has experience of leading a team of at least four people.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer skills including the ability to operate Microsoft office and emails.
- Intermediate English speaking and writing skills.
- Willing to work 50 hours per week including weekends (if needed).
- Able to work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness.
- Daily Field Activity
- Checking instructors' lesson plans and teaching preparation before class.
- Acting as the leader in conducting classes at Red Nose field centers and school partners.
- Supervising and mentoring Edu Instructors in conducting Literacy and Numeracy, Job Readiness, Vocational Class to be in accordance with RNF instructional programs.
- In coordination with the Program Coordinator, facilitating team problem solving and the monitoring of students’ academic success and behavioral problems.
- Together with the Edu team, communicating students progress to parents through home visits or written reports.
- Prepare a daily report to the Program Coordinator.
- Weekly/Monthly Activity
- Checking teachers’ progress reports, attendance reports, worksheets, lesson plans regularly.
- Prepare a weekly field activities report that includes students’ attendance and general evaluation of teaching and learning activities to the Leadership team.
- Prepare a weekly purchase request of the education department and send it to the Leadership team.
- Manage and update the documentation of: students progress reports, grade records, attendance records, to make sure a neat and thorough record of students progress.
- In coordination with the Program Coordinator, prepare a quarter/interim to be provided to the donors.
- Prepare a monthly activities progress report for the newsletter content to the Leadership team and Communication Department.
- Assist the Program Coordinator with the development of curriculums of the Creative Education program.
- Lead the Education team, to plan field trips, students/parents’ seminars, or other students’ personal development programs
- In coordination with the Program Coordinator, evaluate education programs’ effectiveness and proposing ideas of education programs that will benefit students.
