Consultancy Opportunity: Consultant for the Development of Training Guideline for Private MidwivesPeriod of Consultancy: 7 months (period of June – November 2020) with a maximum of 30 working days during the Consultation period
Yayasan Inisiatif Perubahan Akses menuju Sehat (IPAS) Indonesia, is a local foundation and work focusing on reducing the mortality and morbidity of women and girls in Indonesia due to lack of access to reproductive health services. Yayasan IPAS Indonesia supports Government of Indonesia’s effort to reduce maternal mortality and improve reproductive health wellbeing of women and girls, by working with the Ministry of Health and/or other government agencies in strengthening the health system, and to engage the community through health education programs in collaboration with local civil society organizations.
Yayasan IPAS in collaboration with the Indonesian Midwives Association (IBI) will develop a training module on Sexual Reproductive Health and Right (SRHR). This module will be used in the training of Basic SRHR for midwives in public and Private Practice/services (Bidan Delima) in relation to continuing midwifery education, and to ensure that midwifery services could provide women-centered care. We are currently seeking a Consultant to Develop the Women-centered SRHR Training module for Midwives.

Scope of Work
The Consultants will work under the direct supervision of Senior HSS Advisor, and other relevant Yayasan IPAS staff. The consultant will:
- Develop a curriculum or training module in relation to Reproductive Health for Midwives, especially for Private Practice/services (Bidan Delima) that based on Women-centered services
- Develop a curriculum/training module with a behavior approach of empathy, non-discrimination, non-judgmental, and incorporate the service as needed by women and girls.
- Provides technical assistance during the training/trial that will be conducted with IBI (Indonesian Midwives Association)
- Modul for 3-days training based on the review of midwifery documents or journal (national and international), as well as result of interview with IBI
- Training module of Reproductive Health for Midwives
- Recommendation on the module development or training approach, after the trial conducted
- Hold extensive knowledge of sexual reproductive health and rights, women's (reproductive) health issues, postabortion care, contraceptives
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in women’s reproductive and sexual health background
- Preferably have an experience or involved in developing SRHR module in the concept of critical education
- Experience in facilitating SRHR comprehensive training, have knowledge and skills to effective communication.
- Preferably have an experience in SRHR program for youth and adolescent
- Preferably have knowledge of the SRHR counseling program
- Have good communication and be able to work as a team with IBI
- Reachable and easy to communicate.
- Ability to work within the designated consultancy period.
