The USAID Indonesia Urban Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, Penyehatan Lingkungan Untuk Semua (IUWASH PLUS) program is a five-and-a-half-year initiative designed to assist the Government of Indonesia (GOI) in increasing access to water supply and sanitation services as well as improving key hygiene behaviors among urban poor and vulnerable populations. USAID IUWASH PLUS works with governmental agencies, the private sector, NGOs, communities and others to achieve the following "high level" results:
- An increase of 1,100,000 people in urban areas with access to improved water supply service quality, of which at least 500,000 are from the poorest 40% of the population (also referred to as the “Bottom 40%” or “B40”), vulnerable groups or Indonesia’s eastern provinces; and
- An increase of 500,000 people in urban areas with access to safely managed sanitation.
To achieve these outcomes IUWASH-PLUS is looking for a short term consultant to fill the position of Individual Consultant: Writer for Spring Vulnerability Assessment Study: Nahaguta Pematangsiantar and Sibolangit (NSRO) – Fixed Price ICA (Job Code: FPIC/WRT_NSRO)
Objective
In general, the purpose of the recruitment activities of KKMA document writers is to assist the IPLUS team in the process of pouring and writing all information, data and results of analysis of spring water vulnerability studies in Nagahuta (Pematangsiantar / Simalungun) and Sibolangit Spring (Medan / Deli Serdang) so that it becomes a written document. The aim is the establishment of KKMA documents for Nagahuta (Pematangsiantar / Simalungun) springs and Sibolangit Springs (Medan / Deli Serdang) which contain information related to the quantity and quality of the results of the analysis and various recommendations for handling and controlling the vulnerability.
ACTIVITY LOCATION
The 2 spring locations for this study are:
- Mata Air Nagahuta in Kabupaten Simalungun for KKMA Kota Pematang Siantar
- Mata Air Sibolangit in Kabupaten Deli Serdang for KKMA Kota Medan.
QUALIFICATION OF THE SERVICE PROVIDER
- The service provider (required writer) that is awarded in this contract is expected to possess more than 5 years of experience in the field of water resource management/ geology/ hydrogeology with specific experience in conducting similar studies, preferably in North Sumatra.
- Expected Start Date: January 2020
