Vacant Position: SENIOR STAFF OF SUSTAINABILITY AND SMALLHOLDERS DEVELOPMENT
Council of Palm Oil Producing Countries (CPOPC) is an inter-governmental organization established by Indonesia and Malaysia to strengthen cooperation and collaboration among palm oil producing countries. The objective is to ensure long term benefits of such palm oil endeavors to the economic development and well-being of the people of the member countries.
CPOPC is looking for a Senior Staff of Sustainability and Smallholders Development.
General purpose:
Assisting the Director Sustainability and Smallholder Development in planning and managing issues on sustainability and smallholder. Both aspect, Sustainability and Smallholder program under CPOPC coordination able to enhance positive image of palm oil, provide better ways to implement a sustainable platform and enhance smallholder capacity.

Types of employment: 4 months of probation, with potential extension for permanent staff.

Assisting the Director Sustainability and Smallholder Development in planning and managing issues on sustainability and smallholder. Both aspect, Sustainability and Smallholder program under CPOPC coordination able to enhance positive image of palm oil, provide better ways to implement a sustainable platform and enhance smallholder capacity.
Responsibilities:
- Develop program on sustainability platform, such as sustainability of palm oil related to SDGs, developing palm oil sustainability under agriculture sustainability platform.
- Develop program on smallholder capacity and program in which smallholder can receive a better price of FFB.
- Collaborate with governments and partners to elaborate sustainability aspect and facilitate program for smallholder;
- Participate in developing all major organization documents, including technical documents and letters related to sustainability and smallholder.
- Adapt input materials (study, research and findings, etc.) for sustainability standard and smallholder
- Participate in the drafting of quarterly and annual report, as well as meeting materials and the minutes of meetings (e.g., Senior Officials Meeting and Ministerial Meeting of CPOPC, and other meetings as required).
- Participate in all CPOPC activities as team member, and take part in public speaking activity especially as a sustainability specialist.
- University degree or master degree. Advance knowledge and experience with sustainability, ISPO, MSPO, RSPO, and any related areas are an advantage;
- At least 7 years of professional experience, in particular with corporate and/or international organization in the field of sustainability;
- Experienced in assisting the implementation of sustainability standard;
- Advance knowledge on smallholder problems, land legality, and smallholder stakeholders.
- Experienced with smallholder programs related with government, NGOs, company, and others.
- Excellent skills in English writing is required
- Experience in report, articles, and presentations, including collecting data on sustainability matters.
- Attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and organized work practices.
