Vacant Position:
SENIOR STAFF OF COMMUNICATION AND PROMOTION
Council of Palm Oil Producing Countries (CPOPC) is an inter-governmental organization established by Indonesia and Malaysia to strengthen cooperation and collaboration among palm oil producing countries.. The objective is to ensure long term benefits of such palm oil endeavors to the economic development and well-being of the people of the member countries.
CPOPC is looking for a Senior Staff of Communication and Promotion.
General purpose:
Assisting the Director in planning and managing public communications activities to raise visibility, awareness and acceptance of CPOPC and the benefits of palm oil by promoting the profile and worldwide activities of the organization, and the positive palm oil image, via media, public events, and targeted groups.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver all public relations and communication materials, ensuring quality of content, production and delivery, including preparing and supervising the production of publicity brochures, press release, fact sheet, promotional videos, photographs, films and multimedia programs as well as the management of websites (development and content management).
- Develop, manage and elaborate social media strategies and activities across communication channels; including to monitor and report on communications performance metrics on social media on regular basis.
- Adapt input materials (study, research and findings, etc.) for communication material, including presentation;
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with targeted online, print, and broadcast journalists, editorial writers, bloggers, columnists, and other communication organization to promote impactful media coverage;
- Collaborate with governments and partners to design and implement innovative ways to promote palm oil;
- Participate in the drafting of quarterly and annual report, as well as meeting materials and the minutes of meetings (e.g., Senior Officials Meeting and Ministerial Meeting of CPOPC, and other meetings as required).
- Participate in developing all major organization documents, including technical documents and letters.
- Participate in all CPOPC activities as team member, and take part in public speaking activity especially as Master of Ceremony.
- University graduate. Advance degree in communication, journalism, or any related fields is an advantage;
- At least 7 years of professional experience, in particular with corporate and/or international organization in the field of communication, campaign, copy writing, or research.
- Relevant experience in assisting the implementation of communications strategy for public organization or public/social issues, and production of various communication products;
- Proven skills in managing and operating social media channels, especially website. Having knowledge in social media marketing and analytics, as well as knowledge of website technicalities and platforms.
- Excellent skills in English writing is required.
- Experience in report and journalism writing, including press releases, articles, newsletters and presentations.
- Proven experiences in managing events and media relations;
- Attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and organized work practices.

- Types of employment: 4 months probation, with potential extension for permanent staff.
