SOS Children’s Villages Indonesia is a part of SOS-Kinderdorf International which is an international umbrella organization of national associations

It is a non-governmental, non-political, non-denominational and non-profit social development organization, working exclusively in the public interest.

Its objectives are:

  • To provide specialist care and support for children who lost parental care and at the risk of losing parental care.
  • To support children, young person and families in need through the establishment of home, social centers, and vocational training centers.
  • To advocate and promote the rights of children around the world.
  • To work with international organizations, and promote world-wide understanding and exchange knowledge on child care issues.
  • To serve as a model of long-term family-based care.
SOS Children’s Villages Indonesia to open recruitment: Deputy National Director Placement in Sari Endah – Bandung, West Java

Key performance areas and main responsibilities:

  • Support the National Director in implementation of Strategy, Policies and Programmes
  • Implement and monitor the SOS Children’s Villages Care Promise
  • Develop and strengthen Finance and Controlling, Sponsorship, and Legal, together with the respective Directors and Coordinators
  • Guide the Project/Village Directors in the formulation, implementation and monitoring of annual plan
  • In cooperation with Project/Village Directors, ensure arrangements for the educational of the children with special needs such as late beginners or low and high performers
  • Adapt to changes and provide support to the National Director to make necessary adjustments in the program actions accordingly
  • Participate in emergency-relief-programme in case of an emergency situation (wae, etc), according to the need at ground
  • Support National Director in various meeting including NGO forums, Government Bodies, Donors
  • Represent the organization on a day to day basis as per assigned authority
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education Bachelor degree/Master's Degree/Post-Graduate Degree in any field
  • Required language(s): English, Bahasa Indonesia
  • At least 8 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Preferably CEO/GM/Director/Senior Manager specialized in Social & Counselling Service or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English and local language
  • Leadership and people management
Ability to operate at a strategic level and operationalize the plans in the field for time-bound deliveries; Strong knowledge in Finance, administration and management; ICT and technical knowledge will be an advantage; Good analytical and advocacy skills; High interpersonal skills; Indonesian and English language proficiency (oral and written); Ability to adapt to changing needs; Presentation skills is a must; Good computer skills; Willing to travel as and when required; Analytical skills; Ability to present and explain data/information; Presentation skills; Creativity and innovativeness; Accuracy and thoroughness; Excellent problem-solving skills; Knowledge of Child Protection; Competency in Integrity and Compliance; Professionalism; Strong drive for results; Proactivity; Trustworthy; Personal integrity; Willing to travel as and when required
