WWF-ID is currently seeking for the best candidate for the position of MPA & Biodiversity Officer. This position will be based in Ambon, Maluku and report to Seram Seas Site Coordinator.
This position in the organizational structure of the WWF-Indonesia's SEA Project specifically works in the area of program implementation in Seram - Maluku and is directly responsible to the Seram Seas Site Coordinator with technical coordination with the team in the implementation area.
The MPA & Biodiversity Officer is responsible for assisting the Site Coordinator and the SEA Project Leader in developing and implementing strategies and work plans related to the Biodiversity / Marine Protected Area (MPA) / Marine Spatial Planning (MSP) fields that are the objectives and achievements of the SEA project
Requirements for this position are:
- Minimum hold Bachelor Degree (S-1) or above with Fisheries Science, Marine Biology, Marine Science, Oceanography, Conservation Science or other relevant major
- Minimum 2-4 years of working experience in research, coastal monitoring, and oceans, especially with research institutions.
- Experience working with communities and NGOs and the government
- Willing to work and travel in remote areas
