We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Research and Evaluation (R&E) Program Officer, based in Jakarta. The position is open for Indonesian nationality only.

The Research and Evaluation (R&E) Program Officer assisting Research and Evaluation Advisor and Yayasan Inisiatif Perubahan Akses Menuju Sehat (Ipas) Indonesia program team in planning and providing relevant technical assistance for in-country program. The Research and Evaluation (R&E) Program Officer contributes to ensuring the appropriate measurement of results of different projects and for generating indicators that correspond to the different Yayasan Inisiatif Perubahan Akses Menuju Sehat Indonesia interventions. Additionally, this position ensures data quality by overseeing the completion and verification of data and conducting appropriate statistical analysis. The R&E officer also supports the preparation of accurate donor and government reports by ensuring data are collected, entered, and cleaned properly.

Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation of the in-country program within relevant technical areas issue;
  • Provide program management support to the implementation of relevant program activities, according to the agreed work plan and budget;
  • Enter M&E related data on women served, trained providers, intervention sites and other program activities into the appropriate data management systems in a timely manner;
  • Ensures that data is collected, analyzed and incorporated into Yayasan Inisiatif Perubahan Akses Menuju Sehat Indonesia data management systems on a monthly basis;
  • Reviews and cleans monthly facility data to ensure accuracy and completeness of data before and after entries are done in the required software;
  • Perform analysis and management of quantitative data sets for research, monitoring and evaluation as needed;
  • Conducts site visits to validate collected data, monitors data entry at the site level, and corrects errors made by providers as they enter data;
  • Coordinates with in-country team members to validate results in donor reports and supports R&E Advisor in writing and validating report narratives;
  • Train staff and consultants in M&E data collection and processing;
  • Facilitate trainings/workshops/meetings using adult-based learning methods, including facilitating VCAT sessions with relevant stakeholders;
  • Tracks activity plan in Luna; entering activity report to the Ipas system as required;
  • Prepare tables, charts, and figures, as well as draft documents for internal and external use and publications;
  • Support the R&E Advisor in all aspects of research projects, including protocol and data collection tool development, data analysis and interpretation and dissemination and to prepare literature searches and bibliographies;
  • Provide input and support relevant Advisors in strategy development of the program, as required;
  • Support relevant advisors for the development of new projects and programs in Indonesia;
  • Carry out other tasks to support Yayasan Ipas’s R&E efforts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in social science or public health with 5-7 years of work experience in research and evaluation of health programs in Indonesia. A Master’s degree is an advantage.
  • Experience with statistical analysis computer packages (e.g., STATA, SPSS, SAS, EpiInfo)
  • Experience with word processing (Word), spreadsheets (Excel) and presentation software (PowerPoint)
  • Experience working with databases; experience with relational databases preferred but not required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Well-organized, with ability to track multiple projects and deadlines
  • Experience in providing administrative support to work teams
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and regionally
