WWF-ID is currently seeking for the best candidate for the position of Geographic Information System (GIS) and Database Officer.
This position will be based in Ambon, Maluku and report to WWF Indonesia SEA Project Leader.
The job holder will fully responsible in terms of technical GIS and database projects including: development, supporting spatial and non-spatial data management related to spatial planning, implementation and monitoring in the program implementation area in 3 regions, namely: Maluku (Seram), North Maluku (Halmahera) and West Papua (Bintuni, South Sorong), including enhancing GIS capacity both internally and to work partners / stakeholders.
GIS & Database Officer reports directly and responsibly to WWF Indonesia SEA Project Leader and intensively collaborates with each Site Coordinator in developing and implementing strategies and work plans related to GIS and Database. This is of course to support programs in the fields of MSP (Marine Spatial Planning), MPA (Marine Protected Area), Fisheries and Marine.
Requirements for This Position are:
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in Marine Science, Oceanography, Fisheries Science, Biology, Geography, or Geology or other relevant majors
- Minimum 2 years working experience in the field of coastal space and marine conservation areas as well as monitoring or surveying marine / fisheries resources
- Having attended training related to GIS Skills / Spatial Planning as evidenced by a training certificate.
