Muslim Aid and Yayasan Kemanusiaan Muslim Aid Indonesia (YKMI) have been working together since 2007, collaborating on a range of high impact work; in emergency relief and development assistance addressing the root causes of poverty and inequality. YKMI has been implementing Livelihoods, restoring vital WASH infrastructure, and enabling behavioral change in health and hygiene practices in Indonesia with support from Muslim Aid.
Muslim Aid is looking for an experienced Indonesian disaster management expert as a Country Manager to take immediate charge of MA Indonesia and YKMI guiding the disaster response. The Country Manager will lead the disaster response, provide strategic leadership and management in developing YKMI country strategy and programmes. The Country Manager will have the responsibility for ensuring that all aspects of the programme are managed effectively; ensuring that YKMI programmes in emergency relief and development assistance address the root causes of poverty and inequality.
As the ideal candidate for this position, you will have a strong background in DRR and proven experience working internationally in development and/or humanitarian sector. You will have solid experience in programme design, development and implementation (particularly livelihoods, health, and education) with specific emphasis on monitoring and evaluation. You will have experience in managing, leading and developing people, including distance management. You will have excellent strategic, judgment, planning, coordination and prioritization skills.
