Save The Children Job Vacancy: Learning Solutions Manager, Jakarta - Indonesian

Salary; IDR 411,241,206 per annum

Location: Jakarta, Indonesia

Travel: Up to 50% regional travel, annually

Fixed Term Contract for 24 months

We are looking for an experienced and passionate individual to join us as Learning Solutions Manager to enhance the capacity to learn, adapt and continuously improve the quality of action in the humanitarian sector. This will include ensuring the ensure successful and contextualised delivery of the Academy’s global Learning Strategy.

The Role
Based in Jakarta, Indonesia but coordinating the Academy’s knowledge and learning-related Core Activities across the region, the Learning Solutions Manager will provide technical leadership on the commissioning and delivery of learning and knowledge products. Products will be developed through partnerships, both within Indonesian civil society, and across the Academy’s network of Centres. Responsibilities will also include collaborating with the Global Academy Office (GAO)’s Learning Team on learning platforms, tools, templates and resources, giving specialist advice on learning, innovation or knowledge content of potential relevance to Indonesia; Overseeing the success of the Academy’s online platform – Kaya – in Indonesia; and facilitating the successful promotion and adoption of approaches designed to professionalise the sector.

The Person
To be successful, you’ll be fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia with the right to work in Indonesia. You may also need to be willing to travel within the region for short periods of time. To be successful you will have extensive and varied experience in a senior management role in a Learning and Development function, preferably from a variety of sectors. An instinctive, analytical and strategic thinker you will be educated to BA/BS level or above, or have significant equivalent leadership experience, in a relevant subject.

Other essentials skills include:
  • Demonstrable experience of developing and delivering learning solutions on a global scale, with an advanced operational understanding of contextualising activities
  • Excellent problem solving skills and superior verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • A passion and energy to work in pursuit of transforming humanitarian response globally and making a reality of true collaboration
  • Proven results in establishing new learning initiatives and programmes
