The ICRC Regional Delegation in Jakarta seek to fill the following position:
DRIVER

The ICRC delegation in Jakarta is seeking a highly motivated person to fill the above-mentioned position with bellow criteria:
Transport
- Transports people and/or goods, including for the weekends and evening duties as instructed
- Delivers mail or goods as requested
- Provide assistance to the passengers as needed
- Fills in logbook correctly after every trip.
Security
- Is aware of, and reacts to the current security situation
- Respects ICRC internal security rules all times
- Respects the laws in general and traffic regulations in particular
- Drives only ICRC goods and personnel in ICRC vehicles unless instructed differently by superior
Load responsibility
- When applicable, is present at the loading and unloading of goods and confirms that the quantity corresponds with relevant documentation
- Is responsible for goods documentation
- At unloading presents documentation to the receiver of the goods to be signed and returns it to dispatcher
- Participate to the loading and unloading of his vehicle
Vehicle's checking & maintenance
- Checks the mechanical condition of the vehicle before the trip and at the beginning of all working days: fluid levels, wheels, tyres, lights, inspects for eventual leaking of fuel and oil, checks body condition
- On each handover and once a week checks vehicle equipment and body condition assigned for checking through checking lists
- Is able to change tyre or bulb on the road
- Is responsible for equipment, tools, chains, spare tyres placed in the vehicles and reports any changes to Supervisor
- Informs supervisor about service, maintenance and other possible repairs needed in advance and fills in technical report
Others
- Flexibility and Willingness to work irregular schedules

- Be aware of the delegations objectives and activities
- Understand the three components of the Red Cross/Red Crescent Movement
- Apply the security rules at all times
- Respects and observes the staff regulations and codes of conduct of the ICRC Jakarta Indonesia Delegation
- The employee may be asked to perform duties and task not covered in this job description as well as to provide support to other departments when necessary
- Minimum Primary school level
- Driving license with clean records
- Having passed the ICRC driving test
- Minimum 2-3 years experience as Driver with good performances and no major accident,
- Ability to hold simple conversations in English
- Capacity to drive 4/4 vehicle and use HF/VHF radios
- Carries out driving duties as instructed
- Completes maintenance routines and can be involved in the more simpler diagnostics and running repairs
- Respect and integrate ICRC security rules
