The Nature Conservancy Job Vacancy: Multimedia Internship - Jakarta, Indonesian

The Nature Conservancy (TNC) is a conservation organization working around the world to protect ecologically important lands and waters for nature and people.  In Indonesia, TNC has been supporting improved natural resource planning and management for 25 years, including working with government, private sector, and local communities. We currently have the following internship opportunity:

MULTIMEDIA-INTERNSHIP

The Multimedia Intern is responsible for creating visual media to tell the ongoing stories of TNC’s conservation efforts. Using video, photos, and digital media, the intern will work through all phases of the process to end with a compelling and effective piece.

Job Description

  • Assist in developing graphic design and multimedia products for web and social networking platforms.
  • Assist in developing content management and development of stories and information to increase awareness and understanding of conservation issues.
  • Manages photo archive. Manipulates photos with Photoshop.
  • Design and produce presentations and supporting materials to increase TNC’s visibility and outreach.
  • Performs videography and still photography at events and in the field to tell visually compelling stories.
  • Proactively contribute suggestions and ideas for design projects that will add value.
  • Perform any other duties as requested by the supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in or currently studying a subject related to Communications, Graphic Design and/or Multimedia Arts.
  • Experience with design software (Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator) and literate in standard software applications (including PowerPoint, Excel and Word, Visio, InDesign and Dreamwaver).
  • Experience with multimedia software and equipment, including still and video cameras, microphones, and at least 1 video editing suite (Final Cut, iMovie, etc.) preferable.
  • Computer savvy and ability to learn new platforms and tools quickly.
  • Able to work under tight deadlines and quickly shift priorities based on emerging projects.
  • Working knowledge of social media, including Twitter, Facebook, Google Applications, Youtube, and emerging tools.
  • Superb organizational and time-management skills.
  • Passion and knowledge about conservation/biodiversity/environmental issues.
  • Pleasant personality (friendly, team player, quick learner and willing to take on a variety of tasks).
