Save the Children Job Vacancy: Senior Communication Officer, Jakarta - Indonesian

Save the Children in Indonesia is changing for the better.  We've begun to build a national organisation that aims to be a strong, local, and self-sustaining voice for children in Indonesia namely Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik Tunas Cilik.  To this end, Yayasan has been designated as a “Prospect Member of Save the Children” which focuses on strengthening and localizing our voice for children in strategic middle income countries. Currently Save the Children’s programs in Indonesia is implemented by Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik. We work in eleven provinces, have staff of approximately 300 local professionals, and programming in Child Protection, Education, Health and Nutrition, Disaster Risk Reduction, and Humanitarian Response.
We are currently seeking to fill the following position:
SENIOR COMMUNICATION OFFICER – FUNDRAISING, MARKETING & COMM. DEPT.

ROLE PURPOSE:
To inspire breakthroughs in the way the world treats children, and in line with our theory of change, Yayasan Sayangi Tunas Cilik’s aims to be a credible and powerful voice for children; because of this and in support of the organization strategy, we know that communication, branding and media outreach is very critical to YSTC Success.
Under the Media, PR and Communications Manager and Communication Coordinator supervision, the Senior Communications Officer will work closely on providing editorial, creative and operational support across YSTC’s work. He or she will play a key role in ensuring our communications are both influential and informative for the full range of our stakeholders.
He/she will work as part of the team to deliver flexible, cost effective and class-leading communications to enable YSTC achieve its objectives across programs, advocacy & campaigns, and fundraising by achieving targeted and effective profile in a variety of media and through the delivery of quality marketing communications.
The post holder will work alongside others teams to organize events, identify and generate story opportunities, s/he will draft reactives to major breaking stories, write newsworthy press materials (press releases, case studies, media briefings).
