Center for Detention Studies Job Vacancies: 3 Positions - Indonesian

Center for Detention Studies (CDS) is an NGO established in February 19th, 2009. We concern on correctional reform in Indonesia. Through our program and activities,  we encourage the improvement of correctional institution to protect, to fulfill, and to respect the rights of person deprived of liberty. Our mission is to be an independent research and advocacy organisation to create professional correctional system to be in accordance with human rights through policy reform, strengthening institution, public participation, and provision of data and information in a progressive, responsive, and comprehensive manner.
CDS has conducted many studies and research regarding with correctional system. The findings and outputs of  studies are disseminated  through policy regulations, books, and research instrument.

We are looking for a professional, highly motivated person who is able to work individually and as part of the team under different circumstances to join us as:

Researcher

The qualifications for the Researcher are:
  • Bachelor or Master degree majoring in law/criminology/psychology
  • Having passion and comprehensive knowledge on the criminal law, criminal justice system, correctional, and human rights
  • Having competence and experience (more than 1 year) in research and writing scientific papers 
  • Demonstrating good communication skill, good personality and positive attitude
  • Good command of English both oral and written
  • Able to work with less supervision, and under pressure
  • Creative and innovative
Researcher Assistant

The qualifications for the Researcher Assistant are:
  • Bachelor degree majoring in law/criminology/psychology
  • Having passion on the criminal law, criminal justice system, correctional, and human rights issues
  • Having competence and experience in research and writing scientific papers 
  • Fresh graduate are encouraged to apply
  • Demonstrating good communication skill, good personality and positive attitude
  • Good command of English both oral and written
  • Able to work with less supervision, and under pressure
  • Creative and innovative
Secretary

The qualifications for the Secretary are:
  • Diploma in Secretary or any major is the minimum requirement.
  • Having thorough knowledge of secretarial practices and procedures, and knowledge of administrative practices
  • Having proven ability to use word processing software and email. Able to use other software packages, Adobe Photoshop, or Corel Draw
  • Demonstrating good communication skill, good personality and positive attitude
  • Good command of English both oral and written
  • Able to organize own work and work under pressure
