Recognized worldwide as a leader in the fight against hunger, our mission is to save lives through the prevention, detection, and treatment of malnutrition, especially during and after emergency situations and conflicts. Action Against Hunger had been now developed into Action Against Hunger International network with headquarters in France, Spain, Canada, UK and USA.

Action Against Hunger has been active in the NTT district since 2007 since its first established in 1999 in Indonesia in cooperation and partnership with the Ministry of Health, local authorities and stakeholders. Around 40 networks have benefited from a renovation, as have water sources and wells. In the Kupang District, Action Against Hunger now implements a range of integrated community based programs in Nutrition and Care practices, Food Security, Water Sanitation & Hygiene, Emergency response and DRR/Climate Change Adaptation going from relief to recovery in order to address effectively the population’s needs.

Under the current activities of our program in Kupang District, East Nusa Tenggara Province, a key area to focus is to support the capacity building of local authorities, community, include local NGO to improve the capacity to replicate key activities on their own future. To actualize this, Action Against Hunger is now seeking a good candidate to fill the position of “CMAM Field Worker”, with the following:

Location: Kupang, Nusa Tenggara Timur

Primary Objective
The CMAM Field Worker is accountable to the CMAM Field Supervisor. The CMAM Field Worker is assigned to implements the activities of the community – based Management Acute Malnutrition (CMAM), in cooperation with partner in the field (partners: health staff of Puskesmas and Pustu and community).

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Technical Assistance and supervision working with the health worker at OTP sites and comlete all the documentation of SAM children treated at OTP.
  • Collect information and data, ensure all screening data collection are available at OTP sites.
  • Monitoring of the program implementation
  • Monitoring of the logistic matters
  • Write and submit weekly and monthly report consists of : objective, analysis and results, planning, personal comment, summary of the weekly reports.
  • Maintain Coordination with local health structure as well as the community to ensure the quality of implementation and sustainability of project.
  • Representation of ACF program in coordination with CMAM Program Manager
  • Meets other humanitarian actors in the field and exchange information about the context and the program implemented.
Selection Criteria
  • Demonstrated experience in collecting data on treatment of children on acute illness and acute malnutrition
  • Demonstrated experience in reporting summary of the weekly report.
Essential
  • University degree of professional qualification (equivalent to Bachelors, preferable major: Nurse or Midwife)
  • Good knowledge of Health and Nutrition (symptoms causes)
  • Good communication, facilitation and problem solving skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Willingness to travel, work and stay in remote rural areas
Desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing Nutrition program
