Plan International Job Vacancy: Rural Safe School Initiative Project Supervisor - Kupang

In Indonesia, Plan International started to work in 1969 based on the memorandum of understanding with the Government of Indonesia. Currently we work in 4 provinces: Jakarta, Central Java, West Nusa Tenggara and East Nusa Tenggara and sponsors more than 40,000 children. Due to organizational new DRR Project,  Plan Indonesia is looking for dynamic staff  to be based in Kupang for the position:
Rural Safe School Initiative Project Supervisor – Contract Based
Responsibilities:
R.1. To Develop implementation and monitoring plan based in approved project design and within agreed timeline. To organize the Start-up workshop to implement new project (Safe School Project, Phase 2)  To organize the Launching workshop on RSSI Project at district levelTo develop Monitoring framework of Safe School Project in collaboration with MER Team
R.2 The safe school impelementation at provincial and district level in NTT Province through roll out of the safe school model scaled up.To Consult with BPBD and provincial and/or district education office to obtain support and commitment on safe school implementation.To Develop and carry out advocacy strategy to increase coverage of safe school initiative at provincial level.To Facilitate District Education Office to incorporate safe school interventions in annual planning processTo Facilitate participatory process for increasing budget allocation to support safe school initiatives at provincial and district levels, including infrastructure retrofit.To Conduct comprehensive assessment of school infrastructure at provincial level with the involvement of public work department according to national standards.  To Develop school's database using POI Mapper program
R.3. The safe school concept promoted and internalized to wider audience in NTT Province. To Develop training modules on safe schools for key stakeholders (education office, disaster management office, school principal).To Establish and conduct TOT training for provincial and district-level master trainers for safe schools. To Develop and roll-out practical toolkit for implementing safe school guidelines at provincial and district level.To Organize provincial children’s forum on safe schools that link with national forum, if any.To Document and disseminate CSO-led best practices, lessons learned, and evidence base from safe school implementation.To Increase coverage of disaster education through mass media and social media platforms. To Facilitate cross learning visit to promote safe school model in NTT Province.  To Develop education materials on safe school .To Promote Safe School Initiative through interactive digital game.
R.4. Engaged the CSOs in monitoring of implementation safe school initiative in collaboration with education office and disaster management agency at district and provincial level in NTT Province. To Facilitate refresher training on DRR and Safe School for CSO's member,  To Establish and/or strengthen a district/provincial consortium of Government and CSOs to promote and scale up the safe school initiative and link with national secretariat on school safetyTo Develop child-centered monitoring tools for safe school implementation through engagement of children forum.To Establish and train district level taskforce for safe school implementation and monitoring  (district education, principals, disaster management agency, civil society).To Conduct join monitoring of safe school implementation by CSOs in collaboration with Educational office and disaster management agency, To Promote lesson learned of the project implementation to national and regional level.
R.5. Monitoring and Evaluation. To provide regularly update of project implementation into SAP system, to conduct field monitoring regularly to targeted school. To lead the final evaluation workshop on safe school project implementation at district level/Provincial level
R.6. To provide regular program reporting. Monthly progress report, bi-annual report, Annual/Final report, and thematic report submitted on schedule.
COMPTENCY REQUIREMENTS: At least 3 years of DRR  experience with international NGOs or international organizations of which 2 years have been completed in the field;Experience in project management(reporting, monitoring and evaluation);Experience in advocasy work particularly in DRR/CCA issues.Financial and budgeting skills;Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written); strong negotiation and facilitation skills;Ability to work to tight deadlines, under pressure and to multi-task;Ability to work in insecure and difficult environments; Understand well on program cycle: planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating development projects;Commitment to child rights and CCCD implementation
Range Salary : IDR  4 500 000 – 8 000 000
