Operational Coordinator (in charge of coordinating projects)
Operational
Coordinator will line manage Project Managers to coordinate the project
implementation, monitoring and evaluation. He/she will also work
closely with the Country Coordinator to find funding opportunities which
include developing project designs as well as writing proposals.
Handicap
International, is an International NGO specialised in the field of
disability and development with objective to support people in
situations of disability or vulnerability, whatever may be the cause and
the environment underlying that situation (extreme poverty, exclusion,
deficient social and health systems, serious violation or denial of
basic rights, natural disasters, violence and armed conflict).
In order to ensure the good projects implementation and monitoring process as well as the quality of the reports, Handicap International is currently looking for the following position for its office in Yogyakarta:
Position Title: Operational Coordinator (in charge of coordinating projects)
Location: Yogyakarta
Closing date: August 1, 2016
Salary Range*): Between Rp 13.500.000 and Rp 18.900.000
*)Starting salary amount will be based on objective weighting of qualification and experience of the successful candidate.
The salary scale is currently being reviewed with a potential increase in 2017.
TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES
The tasks in particular are:
- In coordination with the Country Coordinator, develop participatory approaches with Project Managers and potential stakeholders to design new project
- Participate to and/or lead the writing of Project Proposals to donors, including Logical frameworks, work-plans, budgets and financial narratives
- Manage the project manager and ensure project implementation, monitoring and evaluation
- Follow-up of recurrent deadlines (monthly reports, budget follow-up, ToR, cash-flow forecasts)
- Review monthly reports, activity ToR and partnership agreement
- With the Country coordinator and the technical unit, organize and facilitate quarterly Project manager coordination meetings
- Develop and review of donors reports
- Lead the recruitment of project team
- Provide technical advices, evaluate and build capacities of the team through trainings and regular coaching
- Ensure with the Project Manager the budget follow up of their project (in link with the Support Services team)
- Validate the adjusted budgets and all re-allocation budget required, jointly with the Country Coordinator and Support Services Coordinator
- Ensure that all the documentation produced by the projects is properly disseminated, to the extent of publication
PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Essential:
- Master Degree in social science and/or equivalent of professional experince
- Minimum of 10 years in project management, implementation and M & E
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Proven project development / proposal writing skills
- Proven project management skills
- Experience in coordinating projects
- Knowledge in Disaster Risk Reduction
- Previous experience in partnership with NGOs / CSOs
- Experience in internal reporting and reporting to donors
- Experience in programming, monitoring and project design, with particular preference to promoting rights, governance, education, livelihood
- Experience in disability field will be appreciated
