Tetra Tech ARD is currently accepting expressions of interest for the
Landscape Spatial Planning & GIS Specialist (STTA), Palangka Raya based,
 on our USAID LESTARI project. USAID’s LESTARI project supports the 
Government of Indonesia to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and 
conserve biodiversity in carbon rich and
 biologically significant forest and mangrove ecosystems.
Job
 Summary: The objective of this assignment is to ensure that 
recommendations developed under the IFACS SEA‐LEDS and LCP processes are
 adequately integrated into relevant district and provincial spatial 
plans and development plans
 in order to clearly clarify commitments for HCV and HCS conservation 
and thus reduce future GHG emissions. S/he will also work with relevant 
government agencies to prepare and roll‐out SDIs as well as spatial data
 repositories at the district and provincial
 levels. Further, the s/he supports various Katingan-Kahayan landscape 
technical teams to conduct analysis and prepare maps that go into CCA 
and other relevant task for conservation co-management, monitoring and 
evaluation. In addition it also manages internal
 spatial data in accordance with the applicable standards and close 
collaboration with provincial & districts agencies related with 
spatial data management.
Requirements
 include previous experience in forest, natural resources, or 
development spatial planning, preferably with experience in climate 
change issues in Indonesia; familiarity with USAID procedures and 
regulations; and demonstrated
 ability to play collegial and leadership roles working on 
multi-disciplinary teams. University degree in related field required.
