Consultant on animal feed formulation for dairy
Background
SNV
is an international not-for-profit development organization that works
in 38 of the poorest countries around the world covering water and
sanitation, agriculture and energy. In agriculture, SNV works with
smallholder farmers, pastoralists, forest-dependent communities and
companies to provide innovative, market-based solutions to the issues of
sustainable markets, food security and climate change. SNV is
registered in Indonesia under the Ministry of Home Affairs since October
2013.
To contribute to the development of a vibrant dairy sector in Indonesia which
is centralized in Java island, SNV Indonesia will have partnership with
private partners to implement some technologies to improve practice in
the core aspect in dairy to increase milk production, milk quality and
safety and green milk for eco friendly practices.

Currently
SNV Indonesia is seeking a consultant on animal feed formulation for
dairy to develop an animal feed database for feed formulation software
and delivers 2 days training for animal feed formulation.

Responsibilities and Job Description
- Develop database for animal feed of cow in feed formulation program for a day
- Conduct 2 days training on feed formulation (theory and practice) and prepare its report
- Under supervision of the dairy project coordinator, the consultant carry out activities for the SNV-dairy project
Duty Station
The
duty station will be in Andini feed miller, Central Java where the
participants are from Malang, Boyolali and Wonosobo for three days.
First day to develop database of feed in the computer program for feed
formulation and the rest days to deliver theory and practice on feed
formulation. The venue of training is in Andini feed miller in the
border of Semarang which are closed to Wonosobo and Malang and will be
available to do feed formulation practice in this feed miller.
Selection Criteria
- Expert in animal feed formulation and requirements (concentrates) for cow
- A minimum of 3 years of experience working in animal feed topic
- Experience in conducting training
- Fluently in Indonesian or Javanese provide an explanation for trainees

The contract for this service will be started as soon as possible and the training shall be delivered before 15 November 2015
