Tetra Tech ARD is currently accepting expressions of
interest for the Landscape Communication & Advocacy, Aceh based
(Tapaktuan and or Gayo Lues), on our USAID LESTARI project.
USAID’s LESTARI
project supports the Government of Indonesia to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG)
emissions and conserve biodiversity in carbon rich and biologically significant
forest and mangrove ecosystems.
Job Summary: The Landscape Communication & Advocacy
Specialist is responsible for implementing a landscape tailored communication
strategy. LESTARI Communications engages specific stakeholders (audiences) for
forest and biodiversity conservation and climate change mitigation, increases
their knowledge and awareness, and guides them towards better practices
(calls-to-action) that lower emissions and deliver sustainable development,
through clear landscape specific messages.
The Landscape Communication &
Advocacy Specialist is also responsible for supporting government, private
sector and community engagement and implementing effective communication and
advocacy strategies that change practices of these constituents (supporters)
for conservation.
The Landscape Communication & Advocacy Specialist works
closely with Landscape Climate Change MSFs and advocates for sustainable
support through a variety of mechanisms (such as public and private finance).
Requirements include previous experience with progressive responsibility in
communications, including but not limited to advocacy campaigns; communications
strategy development and implementation; preferably working for an
international environmental and/or climate change organization; familiarity
with USAID procedures and regulations; and demonstrated ability to play a
leadership role working on a multi-disciplinary team. University degree in
related field required.
