This post will be based in Nusa Tenggara Timur for fixed term contract 12 months. 

JOB PURPOSE:
Based in Flores NTT, the Field Assistant (FA) has a combination of Field Activities and Office-based Work to facilitate and monitoring the implementation of Project. The FA will work under the supervision and guidance of Project Coordinator. S/he will be the principal representative of executing the overall activities at “Field Level” and report to both Project Coordinator and Field Coordinator.

The major responsible of the Field Assistant is to support Project Coordinator and Field Coordinator for establish strong coordination and linkages amongst all the major project stakeholders in the field level to ensure that program activities are implemented successfully. FA will ensure the delivery of project intervention in the field, to achieve project target and support the Field Coordinator for office management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
·    Leading for project monitoring and implementation in the field level
·        To support Project Coordinator and Field Coordinator for managing the field offices’ financial, administration and human resources so that adequate support is provided for project implementation and ensure that Oxfam procurement system, HR policies and other standard procedures are followed
·        Maintain relationships and coordinate with related parties in field level
·        To help to ensure that Oxfam’s project is implemented in a way that meets its intended objectives in a participatory manner, in line with donor’s requirements and that reports are provided on time to the donors and also all activities are in accordance with the terms of reference and approved
·        Report to Project Coordinator as often as the situation requires, develop an understanding of the environment and provide analysis on current and future trends
·        To work with logistics and office admin staff to ensure that vulnerable and fixed assets are treated in adherence to Finance’s minimum standards.
·        Overall responsible for guiding and mentoring partners for project management
    Assisting visitor from Oxfam, Donors, Government Officials and related parties to project location in Ende NTT

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
     Experience in community development and or ethical or social business activities;
·        Experience in working in Flores NTT is desirable;
·        Experience in community development and or ethical or social business activities;
·        Proven practical experience in managing project business
·        Extensive experience in working with team, and a commitment to capacity building an inexperienced team. Proven ability to train and mentor staff.
·        Ability to prioritise own workload, to work independently and to work to deadlines.
·        Good team player and interpersonal skills.
·        Willingness to travel at short notice, and often in difficult circumstances.
·        Strong commitment to gender, diversity issues, equal opportunities and capacity building
·        Sympathy with the aims and objectives of Oxfam.
·        Strong community development skills and previous experience with ethical business development and or management;
·        Analytical skills with ability to honestly assess, evaluate and draw up plans for action to improve the program;
·        Ability to take and analyze information from different parts of the program into well written progress reports;
·        Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work sensitively with people from various cultural and social background;
·        Effective writing and effective verbal communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia, with skills in English is an advantage.
·        Computer literacy - good working knowledge of spreadsheets essential.
