is the managing contractor of the Program Implementation Unit
Consultant (PIUC) under the Provincial Road Improvement and Maintenance
(PRIM) Program, an Australian Government funded activity. The objective
of PIUC is to provide support to the Program Implementation Unit (PIU)
in Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB) in implementing the pilot PRIM program,
carry out training and institutional strengthening, and provide
institutional support to the maintenance works program including
engineering designs and bid documents
We are seeking expressions of interest from Roadworks Supervision Engineers who
will provide advice to the PIUC on the existing skills of the
supervisory consultants appointed by the Provincial Government of NTB
and the means to improve these skills. The Roadworks Supervision
Engineer will work closely with the International Road Maintenance
Engineer. It is likely that the Roadworks Supervision Engineer will be
embedded in a Supervision Consultant team for periods of months and may
rotate between consultants. This position will report directly to the
International Road Maintenance Engineer.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Duties and Responsibilities:
Competence, capabilities and skills transfer:
- Assist PIUC engineering team and supervision consultants to better undertake the role of works supervision
- Provide other technical inputs as required
- Ensure project variations are within the limits
- Ability to use survey instruments (Total Station)
- Experience in supervising consultants and ability to direct staff
Liaison and Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation of technical documentation, technical reports, site inspection and event reports as well as monthly progress reporting and work plans
- Oversight the work programs and advice the contractors of better site management practices
Skills Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
- Professional engineering with specific skills in rural infrastructure construction and/or supervision
- Strong contract management background
- Strong knowledge of BINA MARGA standards
- Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and high proficiency in written and spoken English
- Computer literacy
