RTI International is opening consultancy position as: Construction Services & Business Development Advisor

Consultancy Summary:
To assist key staff in Indonesia with leading business development efforts in Indonesia in the construction, engineering and publics works domains. This position will require a mix of strong and strategic communication, English/Bahasa language, English/Bahasa writing, networking and administration skills. S/he will be based out of the institute’s regional office in Jakarta. S/he will report directly to the Director of the Asia Regional Office and will receive additional supervision and direction from Technical staff at RTI. Details of the position can be found below.

Contract period: 6 months from commencement date

Objectives:

• To provide capture, tracking, networking for immediate and mid-term consulting opportunities in the construction, engineering and public works domains within Indonesia.
• To provide proposal leadership in partnership with the Director of the Asia Regional Office in Indonesia.

Responsibilities:

• To ensure that RTI has advanced and update to date intelligence on market trend and opportunities and helps to identify priority opportunities: monitoring global and Indonesia specific client procurement plans; building relationships and networking with potential clients and partner groups.
• Working with the Director of the Asia Regional Office and others to set and implement capture priorities and leading in the planning and administration of all capture efforts including: travel logistics, meeting arrangements, pre-capture briefings.
• Leading and managing proposal development administration, coordination and delivery.
• Managing MOU’s to ensure that appropriate agreements are in place or being developed with strategic government and non-government implementation partners.

Deliverables:

• Placement of RTI in at least 2 proposals in related construction, engineering or public works fields each with a value for RTI of over IDR 1 billion.
• Development of relationships and provision of introductions to at least 10 potential clients or partners.
• Lead in efforts to develop a Technical Support Network of qualified consultants in the construction, engineering and public works domains that can be used for projects and proposal development.

Required Qualifications:

• At least ten years of professional experience and demonstrated experience in construction/engineering related business development.
• Bachelor’s Degree or Master Degree relevant construction, engineering, architecture or other.
• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills. Ability to work well within a team and to work effectively with government and non-government education stakeholders in the field.
• Excellent writing skills in Bahasa Indonesia. Fluency and strong demonstrated capacity to read and write reports in English.
