Key Purpose of the Job Assist the Tiger Conservation Project Manager in coordinating the Tiger Protection and Patrol Units (TPPUs) operating in ZSL Indonesia’s areas of operation (Berbak & Sembilang National Parks and the Dangku Wildlife Reserve) and the Human Tiger Conflict (HTC) Teams operating across the Berbak, Sembilang and Dangku

Responsibilities
Coordinate the activities of the TPPUs for the Berbak and Sembilang National Parks and the Dangku Wildlife Reserve and also the HTC teams covering the Berbak, Sembilang and Dangku Landscape. The TPPUs and HTC teams generally consist of between 3-6 Ministry of Environment and Forestry (MoEF) staff and 2-3 community rangers.

Main Duties And Key Responsibilities
- In collaboration with MoEF establish and coordinate the TPPUs and HTC teams especially with regards to tackling Human-Wildlife conflict situations around the three protected areas;
- Responsible for updating and maintaining databases and administration systems, ensuring accuracy of inputting and reports;
- Communicate with relevant stakeholders at both regional and national levels;
- Ensure the achievement of project activities and high performance in accordance with the project work plan;
- Monthly reporting to the Tiger Conservation Project manager.

Qualifications & Experience
- A minimum of a first level degree preferably in Biology or Forestry (S1);
- Extensive experience in wildlife conservation or a closely related area;
- Prior experience in managing and developing a team.
KnowledgeAn understanding of Indonesian Laws on forestry and wildlife;
Skills & Abilities
- Has good ability in project planning, implementation, and evaluation;
- Able to work under any circumstances, strong prioritization skills, able to deal with both scheduled and unscheduled tasks;
- Having excellent communication skills; both oral and written in English and Indonesian;
- Able to work independently and in a group.
Other Requirements
- Willing to travel extensively across Sumatra and beyond;
- Having a valid driving licence for car and motorbike.
