MARINE PROGRAM MANAGER
The
Marine Program Manager provides program
management support to the Marine Program Director in the overall
management, operation and coordination, ensuring smooth implementation
of the marine components of TNC work in Indonesia in accordance with the
standards set out by the organization.
S/he
helps ensure a seamless program development and delivery, team
management and development, quality control and evaluation, including
providing solutions to problems.
S/he supports the Marine Program Director in overseeing the development and implementation of different programs and projects.
S/he represents the marine program in internal meetings, as necessary.
Duties include:
- Assist in the implementation of the Indonesia Marine Program (IMP) management cycle encompassing the strategic planning, program development, operations, and learning, including coordinating the design and implementation of conservation measures, maintaining and monitoring program dashboards on monthly basis.
- Work together with IMP Director, the Asia Pacific, Global Team, Indonesia Corporate Engagement and Philanthropy teams in identifying and evaluating funding opportunities, drafting project proposals, donor reports, both for public and private sources
- Coordinate quarterly meetings with IMP team members to monitor the progress of IMP annual work plan and budget burn rate, review staff monthly reports and work with relevant senior/middle managers in addressing slow progress or other issues, and help ensuring that the decisions and the action points on strategic issues are carried out by the assigned team members on timely manner.
- Assist IMP Director in undertaking management responsibilities as necessary, such as distributing workshop/seminar invitations to appropriate staff, draft speeches, develop key presentation materials for meetings and conferences, undertake research on specific technical issues, put together and feed necessary information to Indonesia Program’s PDL unit, resolve specific issues or challenges within IMP.
- Support IMP Director in staff management, including team building, assessing capacity gaps and capacity building needs, and developing strategies to address them in collaboration with HRD.
The Marine Program Manager reports to the Marine Program Director and is based in Jakarta.
Requirements:
- BA/BS degree and 7 years’ experience in conservation practice or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Fundraising experience, including identifying donor prospects and donor cultivation
- Experience managing complex or multiple projects, including managing finances and coordinating the work of other professionals and partners.
- Supervisory experience, including motivating, leading, setting objectives and managing performance.
- Experience developing partnerships (partners, community, government)
